You want to have the game first, the company second. Spyro should imply the company.
The current publisher is Activision but the original developer was Insomniac Games. There is no current developer, which is kind of strange?

The current developer is whoever makes Skylanders.

The Skylanders page is written a bit differently, but it looks like their current developer is Beenox. The group that focused on Spyro, though, would be Toys for Bob, a subsidiary of Activision.

I don't understand why we have to tag whatever company owns Spyro, especially since the franchise seems to change hands so often.

What do you mean their page is written a bit differently, Wikipedia Pages are always written the same way. - Where are you getting your information from?

I'm saying Skylanders didn't have a "To Present" or "-Present" bit on theirs like Spyro did.

Why not put the Publisher Activision then, since they've been with Spyro since the beginning?

Denied because we really don't care about what company owns Spyro. Company tags are generally only used for when the company has a lot of brand exposure as a franchise in and of itself, like nintendo, disney, and marvel.

Noti how marvel doesn't imply disney. Even though it's technically correct the two things don't have anything to do with each other so we intentionally left it off for tagging purposes.

Also, as a general rule I usually avoid implying bigger tags to smaller tags. If you are suggesting one of these, chances are you are doing something wrong.

And what is that "thing" I'm doing wrong?

Company -> Game is the wrong order, it's Game -> Company
