Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

The body of some characters is almost completely composed by organic material, however, also have visible mineral structures (specifically rocks). In this cases should the "rock" tag be used or not?

It's.. a bit complicated. But here's what you should know.

You should only tag tags where a majority of users, even if these users don't have any knowledge of the character and its properties, would be able to spot the tag on the image. This is one of the principles behind Tag What You See (TWYS). So you're tagging only things which you and other users can see.

I don't see any rocks or stone on the post that you linked, because I have no knowledge of this character. I only see a wolf-like character with fangs and claws, with white and brown fur. So in this specific case, the tag should not apply.

But on a post like..
.. I can clearly see a character made of rocks, so the tag would logically apply there.

I understand what you mean, thank you for the help.

Wouldn't mineral_fauna (little used, but an obvious application based on flora_fauna) be more appropriate than rock in such situations?
