is there any way one [me] can differentiate between an OC character with a name and other characters with the same name? i plan on submitting a few pictures of this character here and i wouldn't want there to be any confusion

General advice from an uplaoder:

• Make sure the character has a full name, not just a given one if that given name is an otherwise unremarkable name from a common language. Try to make sure it's mentioned somewhere those who care will find it (e.g. in tags, on a character sheet...)
• That full name may well be in the form "X_the_[species]" (that's pretty common for pokemon), that'll work a reasonable portion of the time.
• Otherwise we have to resort to character_(owner), and no one likes that.

Usually, you put the artist name in the tag itself. i.e.: character_(artist).

That's the only real way to differentiate character tags.

dang. it's whatever, i just had to think of a good last name. which i did. so, problem solved. there were only two other pictures on the site tagged "armin", but it's still good to get this problem out of the way before it gets worse.
