Alias because who the FUCK would search for "onomatopoeia"??!?

I don't even know how I found it!

I sometimes like to search for japanese_text onomatopoeia translated just so I can learn what Japanese onomatopoeias are. Or just for onomatopoeias for comedic sake (Sometimes they have such funny sounds).

Onomatopoeia is already implicated to sound_effects, but only implicated because while a Sound Effect is just phonetic spelling (ie "Bzzzt"), onomatopeias are the words to describe the sound (ie "Buzz").

This is a good example of onomatopoeia:

Ooze

and flip are not actual sounds, but both are onomatopoeia.

Anyone else mentally pronounce it "On-oh-mah-toh-poh-ee-ah" to remember how it's spelled?

Funny that: I tend to assume the exact opposite. Doesn't helpt that TvTropes calls your onomatopoeia "unsound effects" and normal effects are supposed to be "onomatopoeia".

Ok, I see. That is a little different.
