There are still about 1000 posts tagged with blue though

No, there should be 0. If an object in the image is blue, and it seems like a useful thing to search for, then the proper thing to do is tag the item using the color as a prefix. For instance:
blue_eyes
blue_hair
blue_fur
blue_body
blue_skin
blue_rose

blue, by itself, should not be tagged. If the image is using blue as a thematic element, the proper tag is blue_theme, or possibly more generally cool_colors (see also: forum #56286).

I'm working on replacing the blue tags. when i started there was like 5000+ tags with it and now there is only 900+, so i don't think we should alias yet.

I already suggested that every plain color tag should be aliased to invalid_color a while ago, but nothing came out of it. Also, if you were to alias blue to invalid_color, would all the tags that previously had the blue tag be removed automatically or would they stay there?

Wouldn't it be easier to just delete all the blue tags (along with black and white) entirely? Most of the pictures with these tags already have more detailed color tags in them.

Trust me, very few images have detailed color tags.

Also, what happened to the images that previously had grey, orange, green, magenta and red? Were they all retagged like you're doing now with blue? (btw I'm helping with that)
