Why are we using Phoenix Wright as a copyright tag instead of a character tag? Just seems logical to me

probably because at this point it'd be to much of a hassle to switch the tags around to phoenix_wright_(series) and phoenix_wright (character). I did it a while back fro a small amount of bunnicula art and that was already a lot of work when I still had tag scripting access!

We already have an ace_attorney_(series) tag though.

The series is officially known as "Ace Attorney", not "Phoenix Wright". Apollo Justice, the two Investigation games, and DGS are also referred to as "Ace Attorney" or "Gyakuten Saiban" rather than "Phoenix Wright".
