Topic: Banned User Compilation

Posted under Off Topic

I'm trying to pen the first draft of The Complete Layman's Guide to the History of e621.net and Other Points of Interest. Right now, I have come across a staggering amount of info over how little I understand the most famous of permanently banished indiviuals. So far, I have completed Lepepper's single page, and have about an additional ten I need to complete. Any wise and all-knowledgeable sages or scribes have anything else I can add to it?

And by the way, I plan to release this as a free PDF once I finish so all can enjoy a little recollection of times, good and bad.

You've probably heard of the many individuals who go by reaper.

The earliest ban evaders who I've seen before are ErkGloom and Kitsu. Erk was around near the site's inception and last appeared just three months ago. Yup, he's been at it for nearly ten years. Dude needs a life.

I guess attention is probably just what he wants but damn, that's some serious dedication. He could make a huge difference in the world if he directed that towards anything else

Reaper is Tuvali, who is no longer banned, because he actually learned (They kept banning him without him making a bad because he was just ban evading the whole time instead of appealing)

It's a little weirder than that. I think it's unlikely that Tuvalu is the only active reaper account right now, and there at least used to be far more than one person behind it, apparently.

It's like The Thing. It could be anyone.

Even… me.

But I'm not.

Though that begs the question: what if you don't even know whether you're a reaper? No, that just... can't be...

Other than the infamous in-jokes, the only ones worth looking into would be those whose actions/bans shaped e621 policy.

That being said, I think there are only a handful of banned users who actually mattered, and only a few come to mind.

an example

The only user I've had the displeasure of meeting with was Leoian, who, fortunately for you, has already had quite a bit of research done on him.

During his stay on e621, he insisted that his (blatantly plagiarized) work was original, and, naturally, when he began to be insulted/attacked, he would report offending users. So he basically created a thin-red line, never crossed it, and waited until he could use the site tools against anybody who called him out in any manner slightly less than civil.

I'd like to think that his ban created a precedent against that sort of toxic behavior.

Does anyone remember a dude who went by the name KrazyKripes, or Tailpoker? Guess that was more of an Fchan thing. Dude would post horrible art that looked like it was drawn in MS Paint then given the smudge tool treatment in Photoshop. He'd post his art on Fchan and then go apeshit when people criticized his stuff. I remember there was this one pic he did of Knuckles screwing Sonic... I had to stare at this image for 10 minutes before I could even determine what it was because everything looked like it had gone through smudge tool. Like take a Picasso painting and run that through smudge and that was Tailpoker's art.

I find it fun to once a month peruse the User Records section of the site. You can usually see a wave of bans for ban evaders who tried to re-join. It's pretty funny, but the best is when they do things like insult mods in their username or something lame like that...lol.

Well, Barbados belongs on that list without qualification (except vaginally ). I can't think of any other banned users that were noteworthy for their strangeness. Maybe an admin with a long memory could list some.

This person was very active, but just couldn't stop themself from crossing the line. They may still be operating their banned account these days for what that's worth.

Aurali is notable because they were the lead developer IIRC. Had some major disagreement with Bad Dragon management and was banned here for "slander". I feel a proper investigation of the falling out might yield some as yet uncirculated revelations, but I'm not holding my breath for that one and would be skeptical of new information anyway. My hunch is that Bad Dragon isn't entirely blameless, but it's always possible I've misread the information that was available back then.

Then there were these individuals (1 2 3 4) who were memorable for me in that they just couldn't get along with others and were rightfully banned.

One more. This person gave lots of detailed feedback on uploads and would go into deep conversations if the responding parties kept up, but they inevitably got into too many devolving arguments during said deep discussions and got banned for that as I recall.

Then there's also some higher-volume uploaders who were banned for repeated mistags, ignoring DNP, or other such shenanigans. Not worth discussing further IMO.

Other than Barbados and Aurali, I'm sure not if any of those deserve their own page, whatever that actually is.

On another note, it might be interesting to compare all those colorful, banned individuals to the (not banned) user who was probably held in the highest esteem of e621's entire userbase, its former lead admin Char. At least that was my understanding. I don't believe Char's positive influence on e621 has been eclipsed yet by another's, but maybe that's one of the truer applications of rose-colored glasses. idk

Everybody before me probably got most the interesting ones.

Der_Traubenfuchs was quite amusing in the events that led up to his ban. Something about filling a bathtub with cooking oil, pretending to overdose on multivitamins and eventually just posting real life gore to the site to get banned. It was only 7 days but he never returned from it.

xxxFurryFanxxx 's whole thing about pig balls was rather amusing, though I don't really remember the whole events of what happened now.

Casper2433 went from their first neutral record to a permanent ban in 1 day over a dispute of their creepy comment.

Going to echo whay NMNY said. Although certain permabanned folk may be worth documenting, it would only be as reference for long term ban evaders. Given that from what I know, only one is still evading to this day, and most of us know who he is, there isn't much point to such a directory.

worst i know of that hasn't been mentioned is this guy with 12 pages of red.

you can see the comments on hector21314's comics for what led to his ban. as well as hector's artist tag (click the ? link next to it) for some info as well.

you'd think someone like that would stop eventually but nope. every now then there'd be more red added to the list. and yes, i'm fairly certain hes STILL hung up over that comic and his...issues. (some people simply can't differentiate fantasy from reality)

Ah, but this is for users just logging in for their first time, virginal and unawares to the nature of the site. It's a guide so the new users can not be caught bewildered by in-site jokes and whatnot. While I understand the potential danger, the famous trolls are limited to a page of info and short paraphrasing at that. But I thank you for your insight.

I'd mail him a straight jacket if I could.

He's the one that OP was talking about.
And as far as I know, he's not actually delusional. Just someone who trolls as a hobby. So I have to echo Nimmy on that one: you shouldn't give trolls attention.
