Topic: Are people mistagging submissive_pov?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

It's an honest mistake, as this is what the picture implies but apparently the rules here state that it can only be tagged pov if the viewer is visible in the picture as well, be it simply hands or other body parts. When those aren't visible then you're supposed to use "looking at viewer" and "talking to viewer".

Yep. The user viewing the post doesn't count for first_person_view and related tags. If it did, it'd have to be tagged for almost everything..

Clean those whenever you spot them, and report the users who seem to mistag it frequently.

This is a submissive_POV though, right?

No, since it's not from a characters point of view. User viewing the post doesn't count for first_person_view and its subtags (submissive_pov).

Even when there's clearly a dick thrusting into someone's mouth? Which can easily be interpreted as an unseen_character instead of purely the viewer itself.

I mean, at least tell me what we are supposed to tags these with then, because I think they're rather interesting and surely worthy of a tag to make them easily searchable, instead of having to use a hyper combo of generic ones.

Here's another example (which I apparently had mistagged):

Wouldn't searching for a combo of dominance, solo and looking_at_viewer work? Many of those should have the dominance tag, though it's currently missing.

But if submissive_pov is to be kept, then the implications should be undone. A lot of those are solo, so neither submissive (since there's no submissive characters visible) nor first_person_view apply.

Not sure why those were implicated without discussion, couple of months ago.

I agree there, I've always found that submissive_pov -> submissive implication REALLY sketchy. Just having the point of view doesn't mean there's necessarily a character in the pic that appears notably submissive. In fact, that seems almost impossible when it's a subtag of first_person_view, unless there's like a cutaway.

And of course it automatically opens up an entire new can of worms when you tag it to an invisible character or what you could call the viewer. Even if that's supposedly not what the tag was intended for, but as this topic proves it's easy to be mistaken there.

But umm, no suggestions on a tag for the "fucking the viewer" kinds of imagery?

Hmm, well, might be worth investigating then.

By the way, domination doesn't always work when looking for this kind of stuff, as demonstrated by the one I linked to above. He's clearly on the receiving end of a BJ, not really taking matters into his own hands by forcing the viewer or anything.

Sure, these are all pretty rare (perhaps less so with animations than still images as it's not an easy thing to depict without movement), but still...

Yep. As I said, if submissive_pov is kept (and there seems to be a good reason to keep it), it should simply be unimplicated from submissive and first_person_view.

Huh? No, that was meant to be a response to

Which wasn't about sub_pov but about searching for characters that thrust their cock into the viewer. ..Right?
But maybe we're both just talking past each other now. :P

Hmm, it took me time to understand this statement. I see this would works out best to solve all the problems, so I agree with.

That means, submissive_pov no longer be the first_person_view's subtag, so the tagging rule of first_person_view won't apply to submissive_pov. Same thing should goes for dominant_pov. So anyone can use these tags for "fucking the viewer" or "viewer fucked the character", for example:

Maybe fellatio_pov works for that situation?

Alright, time for a wise fwom the gwave. Can we please do something about that submissive tag popping up every time you tag submissive_pov? It's nonsensical and honestly starting to become annoying.

So basically, what Genjar said above me. It's a point of view, it doesn't actually have a submissively-acting character on screen very often.

The committee went over this a while back, and decided to stick to the current wiki description.

The implications are kept. It shouldn't be tagged for solos, and the same goes for dominant_pov.
