Topic: Bulk upload and other things

Posted under e621 Tools and Applications

This site has some really old or just annoying to use features, like if you want to organize a pool you have to manual change the order of every single picture, absurd if you have to put a picture in the middle of a pool and there is 200 things...

But that is not my issue, uploading takes forever with the mountain of tags you need so is there any way i can bulk upload comic pages or a series of things that would all have the same tags, source and description at all? Uploading should never feel like a chore because i want to share all the stuff i have but i go to do it and i just get "ehhh maybe tomorrow".

Here's a question: Is it possible to enter a value such as 2.5 to stick a picture between images 2 and 3? That way you wouldn't have to change every single picture's number.

Just tested doing that and it worked.

That said: After doing that, need to go back into Order page and hit Auto-Order to update post numbers or it'll read as something like: 0, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5...

Now, Bulk Uploading isn't a thing due to the upload limit, but you can always create quick tags at the bottom of your settings page, these tags won't be forced onto your uploads, but you'll get hyperlink text on the upload page for each one that you can click to immediately add it on. Saves a lot of time over heavy tags you normally type in.

I don't think it works like that. If you set multiple posts as 2.X (like 2.0, 2.2, 2.5, 2.9) it will treat them all as 2 and then order them by post id ascending. That's why it goes back to 1, 2, 2, 3. But ordering by post id is often what you want, so setting posts to the same number, saving and using auto order is a good trick.

Another trick is negative integers, which work exactly like you'd expect them to.
