Topic: [Feature] Search suggestion ("Maybe you meant: ...") improvement

Requested feature overview description.
Search suggestion ("Maybe you meant: ...") improvement, show suggestions for all tags entered and not only single tags. If it is unfeasible to do this for all tags in a search due to performance issues, at least doing it when there are no results would be a compromise.

Why would it be useful?
Easier to find stuff, especially for new users or "non-power users". E.g. inspired by @Genjar's example of searching for mordecai regular_show (usually) yields no results since mordecai is "disambiguated" and the regular_show character is tagged mordecai_(regular_show). However no suggestion is made which to the uninitiated might be taken as a sign that there are no such posts.

What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?

Knotty Curls: My roommate, a casual user, suggested we add a search/tag edit function that looks like this.

Of course, the end-goal will be a bit more thorough than this.
Some additional features which may be appreciated:

* implicated tags included as subtext below added tags
* if a tag aliases to another tag, include this information in color-coded subtext
* a seperate color-code warning if a tag is invalid
* possibly separate text fields for species, characters, and artists

This is open to discussion.

I'll give that a +1. For PC users, that would be a very good thing to have. However, for mobile, it rarely works as intended (because it both scrolls the screen and tries to scroll the bar), or so in my past experiences. It'd be useful to also make it mobile friendly, the same way our pool bar, and the others whom I can't remember, works; by making it open as a "foreground", and having the interactable screen in the "background".

Got more features for this, I want this function to be full-fledged to make sure users find what they want no matter what!

I figured since I got lots of ideas and I didn't want to spam the forums, I put everything in this thread, but if that is not preferred I'll re organize them as a few new topics.

Several of these has the potential problem of being "spammy" but if that's a problem, maybe many of these could be a per-user setting?

Searching for valid well populated tags, e.g. angel, suggests other tags starting with angel_, i.e. angel_(mlp), angel_kryis, angel_loveridge, ...

Why would it be useful?
Finding disambiguated tags without visiting a wiki is much easier, or tags are simply ambiguous by nature (e.g. species:angel vs character:angel_... or link vs link_(wolf_form) vs link_(rabbit_form)).

Use end of tags to mach for searched tag in addition to the current of using beginning (not sure about this, maybe it could even be detrimental). Something that would probably be alright would be to only suggest when separated with a _, e.g. searching arrow would (at least) suggest directional_arrow. (reference: forum #196303)

Why would it be useful?
Same reason why searching beginning is useful, however this is very likely open to debate.

Increase number of suggested tags for single tag searches to more than 6, could be done dynamically i.e. show tags with x or more posts if more than 6 tags, but no more than y posts, use user agent to limit if on mobile etc.

Why would it be useful?
There are quite a few tags that have been disambiguated that have quite a few of well populated tags. The problem with this might be mobile devices which may have limited space.

"Click to update"-search, e.g. searching for diamond ring would suggest diamond_(gem) and clicking that would search for diamond_(gem) ring and not just diamond_(gem).

Why would it be useful?
Improved usability if multi tag search suggestions are implemented (see above).

Adding wiki links ('?') to suggested tags might be interesting as well.

Why would it be useful?
Easy to reach wiki directly from a search, especially useful for ambiguous and disambiguated tags.

Probably more stuff that I can't remember right now...

Yeah please put them into multiple topics so people can respond to them (and devs can mark them as fixed/whatever) individually. :)

Edit: Actually I realized these are all suggestions for the suggested tag system, so I'm not sure where Kira would want them.
