Whoops, forgot to update that

Why would it be useful?
Allows you to easily keep track of article history without manually having to check each time

(There is currently no way to know if an article was edited without manually checking)

-
It could probably be similar to the dmail notifications received when a suggested/deleted implication was deleted
-

Format:

The following wiki article you edited/created was edited/removed:

[list of differences if possible/applicable]

I feel like for active wiki editors this might get a bit crazy and more importantly make others crazy who might have made a casual edit, so should be opt-in. Just an emphasis.

I have no real idea of wiki update rates so it might not be a very big problem anyway. However, if it is, it might be interesting to in addition/instead be able to "subscribe" to edit notifications from certain wiki pages you are interested in.

1+ to this as optional function

Would also expand this to tag edits on posts that one made, so it might be easier to track potential vandalism and abuse

I can imagine I will receive 10 notices in 1 hour about the same wiki page, only because someone edited it repeatedly 10 times in 1 hour. I hope you all know how to solve this potential problem because I am lazy to explain.

Yep, if it'll be implement, it'd definitely have to be opt-in.
And repeated edits do seem problematic. Editing an article couple of times to fix typos would lead to someone's dmail getting spammed with edit alerts? I don't like the sound of that.

We might need some kind of Wikipedia-ish 'minor edit' checkbox first, for fixing simple typos and other such stuff.

Maybe instead of dmail, we could get a new page for "Watched pages." Our watched pages would be similar to tag history, only it would cover all potential pages and display the ones watched by our usernumber. When at least one change comes up, we could just get a green bar similar to when we have new DMail.
