Topic: tagging cuntboys as just intersex

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

[first time forum post]

I've noticed lately that a set of pictures involving a cuntboy, and what looks to be a cuntboy, is having the cuntboy tag removed, despite myself and others putting the cuntboy tag in, in favor of just tagging a picture as 'intersex' with no other gender descriptors.

Notably these links, wherein the owner of the charecter explicitly states that they wish for their chars to be tagged not as cuntboys, but just as intersex. - https://e621.net/post/show/1019340/2016-anthro-armpit_hair-armpits-body_hair-canine-c - https://e621.net/post/show/940959/2016-anthro-armpit_hair-bedroom-body_hair-bottomle

I thought the standard for tagging was 'tag what you see, not what you know'; which I've been doing, and so has others.

I would appreciate it if an admin, or mod, or other person of authority, would lend their insight and stop the tagging brushfire, by settling things once and for all.

My appologies if I missed any forum posts pertaining to this subject, I've went back three pages, and haven't seen anything, but I may have missed something.

Thank you,

Marflebark.

if you believe that someone is removing valid tags, you should report the person who is doing it.

Send 'em this if they want it, but that is not how tags apply.

*grammar edit*.

I think it's usually better to do these sorts of things through reports, because otherwise it can cause drama and bad feelings, and that's no fun for anyone.

Just something to think about for the future.

Sometimes people need to be called out for this kind of behavior, especially the people that do this kind of stuff - they only seem to learn /through/ bad feelings, either that or they leave e6 to go to their safe space back at tumblr.

Either way, if they embark on this ridiculous gender crusade like so many before them have embarked on they obviously need to be handled severely, there's just no excuse for this behavior.

Maybe if they were adding something like "female" or the like but JUST intersex? It's obviously someone that doesn't like the rules, knows them, and is choosing to ignore them.

So let them feel bad, they did something bad, they should feel bad for doing it. Isn't that how morality works? Last I checked it was. You do good you feel good, you do bad you're made to feel bad.

^ Yes but we don't want the forum to get involved really; The person in question will not be the only one affected, because this kind of thing tends to be polarizing. That's a social bad for E621.

I hadn't intended to cause polarization, or name-dropping per se. I had only sought clarification on whether or not it was proper, and within accepted means, for the owner of a char to tag or de-tag, an image, despite the TWYS protocol.

Thank you to everyone who posted, and helped me gain a better understanding of the proper way to handle, or take care of, an issue that I come across. I hadn't used the report function before, and thought it was best reserved for extremely rude, or profane, comments, and such of that nature. And thank you all for re-affirming my belief in TWYS;NWYK.

They have every right to ant that. ITS another vote for changing the tags to intersex_female and intersex_male in my books.

I hope I understood you correctly. I'm sorry but it's not that simple. Not everyone does it on purpose or because he goes after what he knows. You have the problem in some cases that you can not assign it to a specific gender. In the case where the gender guidance does not help, because the E621 TWYS rules have their limitations. Especially with intersex + muscle or hyper, this is always difficult, since you do not know what is gender specific and what is through muscles. Best example the following. They all say it's Cuntboy, but if you look at other Hyperfemale or Male, you can see that it is probably the Female Hyper Judy, not Intersex. In addition, the case coincides even with the statement of the draftsman (female).

I have basically no problems with the rules of e621, but I fear that some, like the one with the sexes, sometimes make it unnecessarily complicated.

I do not think this would change anything. The problem would not change, just the tags.

Ich denke nicht dass dies was ändern würde. Das Problem würde sich nicht ändern, nur die tags.

I think that, rather than pointing users to site rules, the rules should be explained to them in a practical manner:

When users search for cuntboy, your image is the exactly the kind of image they want to find. If users search for cuntboy, they're not looking for your character, but images with this feature. If they'd wish to find your character, then they'd search for your character name.
