Topic: Tag Implication: eastern -> eastern_artists

Implicating eastern_or_japanese → easter_artists
Link to implication

Reason:

It kind annoys me that such obvious characteristic still does not have a tag. Many eastern styles styles are very distinct compared to the western drawings (that are the majority of this site).

Examples: mikaduki karasu, Sindoll, mizo ne, etc.

Sometimes I feel that I should look for something more eastern, so I usually type "translated". But it is inconsistent, because not every eastern picture has a text on it.

As a long time lurker, I'm willing to help with what I can to make this tag work.

EDIT: The tag implication eastern_or_japanese -> easter_artists (forum #211474) has been rejected by @gattonero2001.

Definitely, but still there is so much western stuff beyond that.

Kemono is a catch-all term for mainstream eastern styles. I'm not sure what the problem is.

Did you just create a fake thread rather than actually submit a proper suggestion, or did somebody delete it without saying anything? I thought admins can manually edit to fix things and create new ones.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying?

The "Link to implication" link (Shouldn't it be an alias?) goes to an empty page.

Huh, I didn't even notice that.

Should be an alias suggestion though, yes. I don't think there's a way to fix this manually, at least not any way I know of, sorry.

Huh, Parasprite's done it countless times, so I figured it was a common knowledge thing, but maybe she knows how because she's the one who made the change to allow it?

The link is broken because it originally said easter_artists instead of eastern_artists.

But anyway, neither tag has ever even been used.
And like Ratte explained, this is already covered by kemono. So it'd probably be easiest to just delete it, instead of fixing it.

"Fixing it" would be changing it to an alias which goes to Kemono instead.

I don't do anything with A/I's, only aid in some discussion if I see something that piques my interest (or, lately, people bugging me for input). :p

But regardless, this is what kemono is for. Unfortunately this kind of tag doesn't really cross people's mind so it's undertagged pretty often.

Which one?
Eastern_or_japanese and eastern_artist haven't been used, and we don't usually alias tags that don't exist. Unless it's for a tagging shortcut.

And eastern covers a whole lot more than just Eastern art. ...should be disambiguated.
