Could a higher user change tag gen:selene_leni to char:selene_leni? I don't think I have the privileges to do that. Thank you!

It is not a matter of privilege, we (excluding admins because it is not elaborated on) can't change the tag types after a post reaches above 100 posts tagged.
How the hell this went unnoticed for that long is truly a mystery.

It appears as though the original tag selene_(boha) was recently aliased to selene_leni.
I suppose someone forgot to make the new tag a char tag before they aliased it.
