Topic: [Feature] Allow userpages to use [color] tags regardless of user level

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Requested feature overview description.
Currently users can only use color tags in specific pages if they are not high enough rank (source: https://e621.net/help/show/dtext#colors). I request that the tags be used by all users for their user page as well.

Why would it be useful?
Would make my citation needed joke about 5% more funny. Would also allow other users to put shenanigans on their user pages without needing to join for a long time, without affecting the rest of the site. The user pages can be considered a containment page in this respect.

What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?
Any user page which ends up using the tags.

I suppose that would be an interesting thing for people who actually set up their user pages (like you and I), but from the admin's point of view, I'd imagine they'd keep that as an incentive to become a privileged member... Unfortunately for me, that's never going to happen... T.T

o.O that's not tag related at all. also

"Would also allow other users to put shenanigans on their user pages without needing to join for a long time"

i'm fairly certain the amount of time one has been registered to the site has little to no say in whether or not someone is "privileged" rank. come to think of it, it's so uncommon that i hear about that that i've gone and forgotten how one even reaches that rank...again.

One reaches that rank by being a friendly user. Joining the IRC helps, as it allows the staff to actively communicate with you rather than just see how you react over posts that you have the chance to put thought into.

Kinda off-topic, but since we're talking ideas.

So I went to fewrahuxo's user page.
User fewrahuxo, are you sure it's a good idea to append metadata to the files you upload to a site that relies heavily on file content hashes?

Oh and also re-compressing them apparently. Even if losslessly.
