Topic: Tags and subtags for characters

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

I would like to be able to find pictures based on subtags where you can more accurately find what you are looking for.

Lets say I want to find a female human warrior image. I currently can currently search for: female human warrior
but if there are more than one person in the image the picture could have a male furry warrior and a female furry mage with a male human villager.

I would prefer to be able to have sub tags for characters

maybe have a new symbol like = to distinguish subtags together.

Then when searching for the character I can enter: female=human=warrior
and I only get images with a female character that is both a human and a warrior.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Afterwards it would be possible to add things like action tags so lets say you want to see 2 female warriors fighting
instead of searching for: fighting female=warrior female=warrior
you can use a different symbol like : and + to specify how the characters are interacting.
so instead search for: fighting:female=warrior+female=warrior
so only fights between 2 female warriors are found.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
For actions where tags order is important maybe use > instead of + such as if you are searching for a female warrior attacking a male wizard you can search: attack:female=warrior>male=wizard

You're describing character-specific tagging, which would be wonderful but requires retagging of roughly 500,000 posts not to mention a very different tag infrastructure than what we have. I hope we can do this some day. +1.

Also is there a way to do this on a PC it is really hard to organize things with just folders, and tags are difficult to add on windows.

Is there any program that can make sub-tags? and maybe action tags?
