Topic: UK Digital Economy bill could censor 'non-conventional' pornography - will this affect this website?

define 'non-conventional pornography'

and secondly, i doubt it since iirc e6's servers are based here in the US and thus bound by more local laws. it's probably not good news for people in europe though. currently though...europes kinda a mess overall for a number of reasons best left to discussion via PM.

actually, just several days ago a surveillance related bill was passed in britain that would likely be of much greater concern. now where did i put that link...

ah, found it! and...i'll just PM it instead. as it's likely to get the thread locked or something...maybe.

i'll just leave the title. "Britain has passed the 'most extreme surveillance law ever passed in a democracy'"

Provisions within the Digital Economy bill look set to ban websites which show acts such as female ejaculation, penetration with objects and urination.

So lesbian porn is on the chopping block.

How many Youtube channels are going to have videos criticising this within the next day or two?

i'd say a fair number maybe. gradeaundera might. what with him sometimes mentioning his brazzers account and all.

dunno about sargofakkad, hes more into the migrant crisis and SJWs and stuff.

o.O suit yourself maybe? he seems to come across some strange stuff so he might have something to say about it. lol it might affect his ability to find f'ed up things to comment on.

According to source "such as female ejaculation, penetration with objects and urination."

So... inb4 only straight human real life porn where only males can orgasm is allowed in UK.

the same could probably be said for what counts as an "obscenity" here in america though iirc that varies somewhat from state to state.

A while back they made art depicting bestiality, facesitting, and various other things illegal as "extreme pornography" or something along those lines.

If you are still able to view this site, chances are you will have no issues with this new legislation either.

Considering recent political events i dont think "chances are" is a safe phrase to use any more

Hahahah, what a way for whomever's trying to get this passed to show that they've moved forward in the last millennium or so as a culture

tbh i'm quite embarrassed by my own country

Like i know that the whole fallacy of "The UK is a nice forward-thinking place" is slowly coming apart (or was never there in the first place) but still

Not too political for a thread lock. It is a legal matter, and it affects UK users of this website since the ISP will be forced to log their visits.

While e6 is based in U.S., UK users not using a VPN or Tor may become unable to access the site eventually. There are already many websites blocked for UK users, such as popular filesharing sites:

There are too many fetishes to count here. You can easily hit three or more non-conventional categories on one image: post #908383

The law also requires age verification which is not implemented here. It might become banned on that basis alone.

That is if the site gets noticed.

There was someone prosecuted, dragged through the courts some years ago for a movie on his phone showing someone in a tiger suit having sex with a woman. He was found not guilty after the cprosecution decided it wasnt an animal. But not before he had a heart attack and was targeted by vigilantes and accused of being a paedophile.

Things haven't got better.

Charges dropped does not mean "found not guilty". It means the case was dropped before there could be a verdict.

Now how does the prosecution charge the guy in the first place, and take months to figure out there was no animal involved? Incompetence, laziness, maliciousness, or case backlog.

Britons are watching their freedoms circle the drain.

Yes, you are right, he will still have this hanging over him and it is a chilling effect for anyone wishing to use the internet as a means other than using an online bank or paying their bills.
