Topic: What starter pokemons should be in my game?

Posted under Off Topic

[color=LimeGreen]Hello everyone!

[color=GreenYellow]I started working on a text based game called Pokemon Lust Version but I can’t decide which pokemons should be the starter ones.
So I ask for help from you guys. What do you think which pokemons should be in the game?

hmmm...i don't remember but if that black and red fire/fighting cat (forgot the name) is a starter then maybe that one.

I'd say Chikorita (Meganium) and Oshawott (Samurott). For the fire starter Pokemon, I'd go for Cyndaquil (Typhlosion) if you don't mind two from the same generation, otherwise Charmander or Fennekin.

However, another fun option would be to choose a trio of starters of a different type combination that maintains the triangle of balance.

I made a program that found all possible combinations of this sort before, and here they are:

Fire Water Grass (standard)
Fighting Rock Flying
Fighting Dark Psychic
Poison Grass Ground
Rock Fire Steel

These maintain both relationships - that each element does bonus damage against one and less damage against the other (either not-very-effective or outright immunity), in a triangle.

If you decide to go with one of these combinations, there are a lot of potential options to explore.

I might go with Chikorita, Venipede, and Trapinch (Ground Poison and Grass).

I'm a fan of Snivy, Chikorita, and Totodile, but that's a Grass/Grass/Water set, which probably would not work out.

Machop, Geodude, Zubat would be an interesting trio, very different from the usual. You've got your humanoid, your inanimate object, and your winged.

Or, go another different route and do two-stage pokemon. Mankey, Kabuto, and Spearow.

Steel is weak to fire and strong to grass, but that didn't stop Empoleon from being part steel.

What kind of content would that game have, anyway?
Feral on feral? ...pokephilia? Is the protagonist a human trainer or what?

It's tough to suggest any starters without knowing what it's about.

You are thinking of Litten.

Litten isn't fighting. In fact, no cat-based pokemon is Fire/Fighting type. In fact, there are no fighting type cat pokemon in the first place.

Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that he's thinking of is almost certainly Litten. Regardless of whether or not the Pokemon's final evolution is actually Fire/Fighting (I do know it's Fire/Dark), it LOOKS like a Fire/Fighting type.
