Topic: Quick question regarding mass nukings....

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

In particular under the pretense of tags being made up (which they are not)

I noticed a couple users for the past couple of months keep deleting tags from some of my posts under the pretense of being made up and similar lines. The tags that were deleted did tend to be tags that only had a handful of posts but they still describe features that are clearly visible and are in line with twys. some of those of cource in hindsight did have better alternatives after double checking but these users mention better alternates but dont go about replacing the deleted tags with these alternatives. Should i go about reporting such users that delete and mention alternatives but dont implement said alternatives?

Concerning this thread title at least 1 such person has been deleting such tags from multiple perfectly valid posts, posts that are also posted by other users.

I've had people do that on my edits, too, I normally just re-add them with the reason field explaining that unpopulated tags can still be useful and to not remove them unless they have a better alternative.

Usually, they stop after that one go. If they don't just report them, yeah.

Depends on the tag. It's hard to say anything since you didn't say which ones keep getting removed.

Just because it's tagged already, doesn't necessarily mean that it's valid. As a rule of thumb, you shouldn't create new general tags without at least mentioning them on the forum. Some users like to go solo and make up all kinds of new tags; those usually end up removed for one reason or another.

sitting_on_thigh and violet_highlights would be 2 of them of a number others post #957882 both things that are descriptive of whats actually visible.

purple seems to be the alternative for violet, but again these users delete without replacing. tagging is the responsibility of everyone so should deleting without replacing with the existing alternative ammount to a reportible offence. I guess i could mention them next time thru they are usually fairly obvious.

Well, no wonder. Violet was one of the colors that we agreed not to use in the color overhaul. Not sure why that one got implicated.

Sitting_on_leg may be a better alternative to sitting_on_thigh, though that has only been tagged 2 times.

And on_leg would be closer to the standard, since it's closer to straddling than sitting.. Though on_leg hasn't been used more than a couple times either.

Case in point again is that they didn't correct that, if your going tell me to better research then it might be advisable to follow your own advice and apply the correct tag while lecturing me. Might add this is the same subject of contention in the other recent thread concerning users not adding gender tags.

...The title literally says "Quick question regarding mass nukings"

I thought it was a topic discussing questions about detonating nuclear weapons and I'm glad to see that it's not.

Kind of a heavy topic to talk about on this site.

Than again, there have been MANY heavy duty threads on this site.
