Topic: When did you know?

Posted under Off Topic

So, when/how did you first discover you were sexually attracted to anthropomorphic animals? For me, I saw a flash called "rockoons 2" on YouTube in 08, I was about 12 at the time. It wasn't sexual at that point, but after discovering that those characters were "flurries" I began looking at different pictures and over the course of a few years, it snowballed into my interest sexually. I don't consider myself a "furry", it's just more of a fetish. Sorry if this comes off as creepy, I just am curious about people's personal experiences, and I figure an anonymous website of people who share this in common is a good place to ask.

Renamon, then Lucario, then Krystal. In that order and in their first appearances.

Didn't realize they were my gateway furries at the time.

It started in Furcadia. I played it for the funny little minigames people came up with using its limited engine, but every now and then, even outside the Adult worlds, I would stumble across people who were "Yiffing." Not sure what the hell that meant, I looked it up, and came across Yiffstar. Somehow, I also came across Fchan around that same time, but I'm really not sure how. A certain profile on Yiffstar had a profile on Furaffinity, which had a much better subscription system (As in, it has one, Yiffstar did not) and I enjoyed using it instead as a result. For a bit I would browse into rule34.paheal, but eventually stumbled across e621, and like Yiffstar to Furaffinity, I loved E621 thanks to having a better system that Paheal did.

i feel as if i've answered this question in an older thread here...this has happened with a number of more recent threads/questions actually.

but anyway, i think i've always liked anthros. sexually however, i'm not sure tbh, i don't remember when such thoughts about them first crossed my mind.

im ace so im not sexually attracted to anything. but i have been into furries since i was kid. partially because i couldnt draw humans at all, partially because im face blind so humans are all just gray mass for me and partially because i find anthros generally aesthetically more pleasing because of all the variety you can find in anthros.
tho i wasnt really a furry until my ex introduced me to e621 about 6 years ago.

I think it all began when I was still on Flipnote on my Nintendo DSi. That same period, I also played Pokemon. I remember accidentally seeing the very first explicit image of a female Lucario (because I liked that Pokemon for the cool moveset and such so I looked up regular pictures of a Lucario). I remember being disgusted by it.

Then it gradually spiralled down into the pit of furryness over the years, and going ever since.

I was 12 years old when I was watching digimon tamers I really loved that show the when day I went to sleep and had my first ever sexual fantasy with renamon.

Mutisija said:anthros generally aesthetically more pleasing because of all the variety you can find in anthros.

anthro > human in regards to having more variety. this could not be more true. with humans you have...humans...different colors and sizes.with anthros you have that and so much more to look at/choose from.

with that in mind, is it any wonder why i like anthros more than humans? plus anthros would have different natural abilities than humans so different species = different unique abilities which just further proves the superior variety.

Haha, this is so weird to think about. It was about 7-9 years ago. I really loved the PS1 Spyro games as a kid. I found Spyro/Cynder pics on a site called Herpy.net, which was like an e621 for reptiles only. That spawned my love of dragon girls, and soon after, I found this site, etc, etc.

Pretty sure this was the first, or one of the first pics I liked. Not fappable now, tbh.

Around 10 years old, I had a little crush on Gagagigo (a Yu-gi-oh card)... >_<

After knowing about his story, I couldn't help but like him more. Fast forward a couple years later, and I would also like the character Lizardman from Soul Calibur (aka Aeon Calcos). I realized by then I had this fetish for Scalies (which lead up to the furry fandom).

Oh, you know, the typical disney robin hood stuff and being linked some renamon porn really really early, like 2002. I never really thought much of it, I like all kinds of porn. Furry is probably like the 3rd or 4th 'weirdest,' though of course furry porn covers the preexisting array of human sexual behavior already.

I don't find anything sexually attractive. Anthros are just fun to draw.

I always had an attraction as long as I can remember, starting when I was about four. I fantasized about anthro characters and such without understanding it. I never looked at any drawings or anything at all at the time. It just was what it was and is what it is.

I've always liked non-humans, but the first time it was sexual was around the age of seven. There was one borderline bondage scene in one of the anthro comics I was reading. One feral character was tied up while bent over, and I remember thinking that it was kind of... hot.

Updated by anonymous

Well I don't exactly remember, I think i was about 12 at the time. I know I found the Krystal trophy (and a few others anthro trophies) in smash bros brawl quite attractive. Around the same time I found rule34 but mainly looked at pokemon and some furry porn. Also my PC had site block at the time and it was like the only porn site that wasn't blocked! Being at "that age" I was just getting sexual feelings and desires, so as I got older I just looked through more and I've continued ever since! Just to clarify, I'm 18 now, so it's about 5 years I've looked at furry porn.

Also, About a year ago I started being more social with Furries and started to do RP's.

What is it with thoughts awakening at younger ages? The worst part is that you have no idea what is so "Good" about things, just that you like them.

Smugleaf was the original English translation of Tsutarja's name, as translated by fans before Gamefreak revealed the true translated name to be Snivy. The reason I wrote "Smugleaf" is because the Pokemon was so popular before the English release even that there were hundreds of posts of it under the tag "Smugleaf" on various sites.

I learned how to selectively delete specific portions of the browsing history pretty early on, so my parents never knew what I looked at, nor that I was even deleting history.

You wouldn't say "clopper" unless you started out more or less a brony haha. I did too. I guess I've always strongly identified with--and imagined being--anthro characters, two or four legged. I grew up reading Brian Jacques, Erin Hunter and watching Disney. Then I got super into MLP at 16 and discovered the grand world of furry/pony porn, the only porn I've indulged in. Nothing prepared me for the terrible delights of Braeburned, Rajii, dog-bone, Kabier, and, I hate to admit, Sashabelle :P

When Alpha and Omega 1 came out. The characters within were not anthropomorphic, but the way the plot centered around social norms sparked the interest in me somehow. IDK why.

Heck, I still remember the first time I tried looking it up was by using Google to look up the search term "sexy animals". Yeah, I was stupid.. Then it was "animal porn", same method. That's when I found the word "furry" and searched "furry porn" on google. My obsession got got kinda bad after that, so I asked a known Gay guy at school about it, afraid I'd scare him with the sheer weirdness. I figured he was already considered "weird" for his interests, so I felt had no other choice really. He was aware of the term and the interest and surprisingly (to me) chill about it. He told me it's not that weird, but that didn't reassure me as he said the same thing about homosexuality. (which I now know is not weird at all; it's perfectly normal. But at the time I was young and had never had any deeper attraction to anything in that way, so peer pressure pushed me to think of homosexuality as somewhat "condemning".)

He further told me there are sites specifically for that sort of thing, but I was afraid to look them up because of the whole "porn virus" trope on computers and continued to use google.

*sigh* Ahh the good ol' days when I was a total idiot at everything and didn't have a personal opinion about any topic, only conforming to what others said I should. Now I refuse to follow or accept any social norms just because it's "accepted" and rather get all the factual details about everything before making my own decisions on any matter. And now my life sucks because of that... YAY! ( I guess.)

Actually, at that time when "porn virus" was more relevant (let's say pre-2008?), many questionable sites did infect visitors with malware, and not just cookies that trip malware scans either. At least, that was my experience. I used to download various cracked programs through such sites and over Kazaa and Bearshare, and then I would scan my computer with Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D to see what kind of trouble I found. I was excited when I finally caught a dialer, and there was also a dropper trojan that meant business. I didn't visit porn sites often at the time because they when crappy, but when I did I usually caught a "browser exploit" immediately. Nowadays, you really have to go out of your way, off the beaten path, to get infected (or torrent a cracked program with a non-false positive infection).

As for the OP, I've answered similar questions before. I suppose I acknowledged a preference for furries sometime after I started visiting e621 for porn. I was more or less neutral or undecided how I liked furry porn before then but after becoming aware of them. Eventually, I came to the conclusion that I prefer furry porn to (drawn) human or real porn, even though real porn is more potent.

Somehow, real and human porn seem hollow and grimy. They are all too often devoid of meaning, leaving me feeling empty and unsatisfied (read: hollow). And, when I use human or real porn, there's some crushing disappointment that gnaws at the edges of my awareness, reminding me how basic or dispassionate people seem when fucking, which taints the whole viewing experience for me (read: grimy). I'm still puzzling that second part out, though.

Furry porn, on the other hand, can provide idealized and interesting canvases to build fantasies around, which rather appeals to me. Increasingly, I have been devising simple, self-insert stories around certain pictures that strike me as fertile scenarios, managing the dialogue and progression to my tastes. Those are among my most enjoyable experiences with porn because they flood my mind with that heady arousal I'm always chasing. That aside, furry porn broadens one's horizons with occasional interesting or exciting possibilities. In contrast, human and real porn rarely stimulate such intrigue.

Thus, given my roundabout explanation, it was after I realized those things to some small extent that I could validate my preference and attraction to furryverse creatures.

i've noticed similar in regards to torrenting as well. gone are the days of limewire (or whatever that torrent program was called. good riddance to that nightmare.) which was lik 80%+ malware/20% everything else. nowadays almost nothing from torrent sites so much as sets off an alert (false positive or otherwise). yet some people still get scared whenever someone mentions torrenting out of fear of getting malware when nowadays it's MUCH safer as far as malware risks go.

that's been my experience to date anyway.

now, if you do as you said and visit some obscure or lesser known sites then yeah, that'll still push the risks up a good bit.

"Computer Viruses" and Malware

You are right. Both of you. In fact that's one reason I got interested in IT, Programming, and Computer repair at an early age. I eventually ran into that stuff myself and since I did not want to get in trouble for it, I would find ways to fix it myself and even wrote programs from scratch to help prevent it from happening again.

Not only that but I also would help my friends who ran into those problems as well. The only grimace I had about that though, was people would be too embarrassed to tell me how they got the problem in the first place, usually stating things such as, "I don't know. It just stopped working all the sudden and I now can't turn it on." this is actually one reason I'm such an advocate for "true freedom of expression"; I feel that even if it's embarrassing, I can't help you unless you are completely honest with me. And I'm not going to judge you or berate you or anything so just get with me in private and tell me what's going on. Don't me make have to guess and check over and over to no avail when telling me you were looking at porn could help me save lots of time and effort. I mean seriously.

I then went on to get an Associates Degree in Programming. Afterwards, I actually was called in at one point to write a script for the college in an attempt to eradicate a w0rm from the college's computers and servers. The w0rm had infected nearly the entirety of the colleges machines.

The w0rm was making it to where anytime a person would insert a flash drive into any computer, all root files that were not folders were rewritten into inaccessible shortcuts so that any saved work on the drive would be rendered irretrievable. Not only that but if the drive was then inserted into another machine, it would spread that infection once again to the new machine and any time a file was sent via email over any router connected to it, the sent file would show up only as a shortcut as well, infecting the receiving machine and so on.

Needless to say, after a few hours of writing code and a few mouths of trying to manage a sort of 'quarantine' as well as giving out the "antivirus" for free, I eventually succeeded in the eradication of said w0rm, and it has yet to rear it's head again. (Though, as is the nature of any w0rm, it's probably only a matter of time.)

After that ordeal, I simply refuse to deal with any computer problems ever again, unless being well-paid for it. Usually I just say "I don't fix computers any more". (Because If you are wondering, no, I was not paid a single cent for doing that college bit, as my stance on the matter was that I just wanted help out any way I could purely out of the kindness of my heart. I had no idea how much work it would be however, so I deeply regret that now.)

for now i'll just point out that apparently it's something called winint and before we finished cleaning my laptop and attempting to remove this problem it was typically seen in my task manager using massive amounts of RAM constantly. like 3gb+ of this laptops 4gb of RAM sometimes. ever since i went and disabled windows system updates entirely though, it seems to have gone completely inactive as seen in this screenshot of process explorer. no CPU or RAM used by it at all since then but it's STILL there.

Yours is such a prototypical story that I kinda wonder how many bisexual furs turn up after progressing through the fandom itself. That Karabiner picture of Krystal and Fox (with Wolf?) definitely has more to appreciate about both their figures than depriving yourself of one by only focusing on the other.

Just seems like a better time when there's always more to enjoy yunno....I certainly only have furry to thank for a general broadening of aesthetics I probably wouldn't have seen anywhere else.

But as for the absolute first exposure I can remember, before pokemon, before cartoon network entirely, it was probably something on the disney afternoon, Gummi Bears or DuckTales...they really knew how to make a themesong hook you like a junkie back then

I started into Furries with dragons, myself... They're awesome already, but then they just get straight up sexy. I didn't actually find most art arousing, though, I just liked looking at good artwork. This allowed me to look at the gay artwork before I opened up to my bisexual side, though even in arousing works I still prefer straight.

Also, I didn't really "turn bi" one day. It was kind of a gradual discovery.

Well of course it is a gradual process, although I was at least intrigued by gay porn when I first saw it. I'm not really into dickgirls or herms that much, although I remember one of the first gay things I liked was redrusker's sea salt comic, this one apparently it was uploaded roughly 4 years ago and I think I first found furry porn about 6 years ago. So those first 2 years I believe I barely looked at any gay porn and then gradually I slowly looked at more, finding myself aroused by them. (Funny thing is, that was around part of the time I experimented with other men, so that explains a lot!)

It's hard to imagine just how far back the Funny Animal tradition actually stretches, so I wonder if any early furries ever conceptualized the characters as separate from the entertainment, like how early does proficient fanart actually become a thing. In fact now that I think about it, the very first anthro character I ever saw was probably Felix The Cat; not the old b&w shorts though, but this WEIRD-OUT hungarian-animated movie from 1988....an absolute trip that I still don't understand much about

by coïncidence Felix also happens to be homophonous with my username....though I didn't realize till now I swear

the person who made the Dragon You over Comic

According to the pool it is made by kitsuneyoukai and twilightstormshi. I thought it was because I love their comics, its more than just "sex sex sex"

I was 13 and i saw some Pokemon porn on xvideos and thought ill watch that. I watched it and i thought it was great. Later in the summer, I went on a cruise and I got my first bf, then I decided to look up gay animal porn. I found 'all aboard' by brayburned and then i thought that was amazing. I then saw some tirrel animations on youtube and that really solidified my feelings toward furries. Then I found 'Sheath and knife' on a new website, e621, and everything happened from there.

So you're saying you're 15-16 years old? All Aboard released in 2014.

Instead of Necroing the thread, why not report them for violating a strong enough rule to still warrant action?

I first noticed it when I was around 12. It started with the Khajiit and Rule 34. Then Jenna (Balto) and Rule 34. And now here I am.
