Topic: Docking Ambiguity

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Is it sensible having one tag (docking) used for what seems to be various different kinds of penetration?

Under the docking tag, I found posts that feature sheath_penetration, such as:

...as well as posts that feature slit_penetration, such as:

In total, there are currently three pages of results for "docking -uncut", which implies that these posts don't feature foreskin at all.

Is the tag being used incorrectly, or is it really this broad? Would it be reasonable to limit docking only to posts involving foreskin penetration, and use other tags for these other types of acts (like sheath_penetration and slit_penetration)?

The docking tag has been adapted to furry standards, hence sheaths (and probably slits) are fair game, however that could always change.

But agree slightly with @Furrin on that, I don't think cloacas would be a candidate for docking either, you'd need to at least have some kind of evidence for an intromittent organ (commonly penis) for that to be valid.

slit_penetration and sheath_penetration are also more generic tags that e.g. doesn't imply two characters or sex (or two sets of genitals or autodocking? (got a potential candidate for that: post #834818)).

By the definition on the wiki, docking is only for sheath or foreskin. So I believe that the posts with slit_penetration are mistag, and I removed some of them before.

I have been thinking about distinguish them like this:

  • foreskin_docking
  • sheath_docking (when penis is poking out from sheath)
  • slit_docking (when penis is poking out from slit)
  • cloaca_docking (when penis is poking out from cloaca)
  • frottage_in_sheath
  • frottage_in_slit
  • frottage_in_cloaca

Pretty sure slit docking is valid, if there's evidence it's actually a male's slit, and not a cloaca or pussy.

Hopefully it's alright to revive this discussion, as it didn't get very far. The problems in the OP remain the same. Any more thoughts?

Docking is fine for all but the third pic. To be "tag what you see" it should have "ambiguous_gender", cuntboy, /and/ cloaca. The fourth pic clearly shows a penis in an internal sheath/slit. Docking's been used for both foreskin and sheath for so long it covers both. Actually, in furry art foreskin docking is much rarer than sheath.

The larger misuse I've seen of the docking tag is cock fucking (penis_in_penis). That's not docking unless the penis is still inside the sheath, and even then I probably wouldn't use the tag unless there was some length between the sheath's opening and cocktip.
