Topic: A quick question: is there a tagging request tag?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

A quick question: is there a tag that you can add to a post to ask other users to help add tags to said post? 'Cause I kinda remember there being one before I became a member, and I have need of it now.

Just leaving this link here, because it will help much more users in long run:
https://e621.net/wiki/show/e621:tagging_checklist

tagme is essentially the tag if you are either lazy or can't think of what's the tag for something specific that is obviously on the image. In better words, its use should be actually avoided if possible.

E: Also looking at your uploads, they already have passable amount of tags on them, like wiki for tagme says, the tag isn't used in these kind of posts unless there's something really specific happening that isn't tagged yet.

Sorry, I'm a new member, and I hadn't read the wiki of tagme yet; I'll remove the tagme tag.
I wanted other users to help me add more meaningful tags, as I just copied most of them, removed obviously inapplicable ones, added only some basic tags, and the rest of the tags were implied, and added by the system. After so many lines of text, it became hard to read, and I began feeling like I missed something.
Sorry.

There's unknown_artist/character/copyright for when you're pretty sure someone somewhere would be able to identify the thing in question.

I thought those were for when there's no way to identify them or if they don't have an identity. I've been using artist/character/copyright_request for when they do have one but I don't know what it is.

No, the unknown_* tag group is used for things that might be possible to identify. Those are similar to tagme in that they should be checked and sorted to proper places.

Whereas ambiguous_* (such as ambiguous_species and ambiguous_gender) is for things that aren't identifiable.

Though honestly, there's a lot of stuff among unknown_* that'll never be sorted out. Especially among unknown_artist: I doubt that most of those can be named. Many have vanished off the net, and some were probably originally posted anonymously.
