Unimplicating scythe → melee_weapon
Reason:
Scythe currently implies polearm and melee_weapon. Polearm also implies melee_weapon, making scythe I-> melee_weapon pointless.

Disagree. Scythes are farming tools. They're a weapon in the same sense that a hammer is: improvised. In the event that it's being used to kill someone then it could be tagged with the tragically underused improvised_weapon

Not necessarily. Weapon and tool versions of both exist. Same with knives, axes and many others.
The point I'm trying to make is, tagging scythe causes polearm and melee_weapon to be added (whether it's applicable or not is irrelevant), then polearm causes melee_weapon to be added again. Removing the scythe → melee_weapon implication means one less implication without losing any functionality (ie. the end result would be the same).

Doesn't seem necessary.
Just about all of them are used as weapons, even ones wielded by death (personification). Even though those were traditionally used for soul harvesting, not as weapons.
The rare ones that aren't weapons could be moved to scythe_(tool) or something like that.

Well, I mean, whether it's always weapon or not, the main point is that the implication is redundant, because it already implies melee_weapon by virtue of implying polearm.
+1 to removing the implication.
