Bug overview description: It allows me to connect to the IRC server...I think. It stops short, not allowing me to join the chat.

Expected behavior: Normally, I'd be able to connect to the chat via the Mibbit client, and I'd see the user's connected to it.

Reproduceable?: Technically, yes. However, there's two versions of the bug. While I can't seem to reproduce the second variant, the first one is linked above.
Step-by-step process: All I did was click on the Chat button on the top banner.

I managed to find the second variant. I would edit the post, but, this one seems more important.

It's not a bug, we've had problems with spammers, so the chat's been set to only allow people with registered nicks (usernames) to join. Follow these instructions in order to register your nick and 'log in' with your nick. Then you should be able to join the chat.

Ahh, I see. Much appreciated. Could an admin lock/delete this?

This thread has popped up so many times, so I'm willing to bet this to be the last one because of it.

Mibbit seems to be doing extremely lousy job of telling if user is having issues connecting to channel, even showing the channels name on tab. Even some note about +R mode on the mibbit page would be good thing to have, because the whole point of mibbit is to get users on chat easily meaning most of them do not register their nickname on furnet.
