Helo!
I'm still really new janitor here, so it's actually really good if I do get some feedback if I'm doing something wrong. I don't want to cause any negativity in general either.

I think my actions here are justified thou. Screen captures are under the bad things to upload in guidelines:
https://e621.net/wiki/show/uploading_guidelines

What "screencap" means, is that something was running on users computer and they simply hit print screen button or use screen recorder on it. I actually got to patreon page, downloaded the public build available and what I was seeing was something along these lines:
https://puu.sh/tzlmJ/4f6ccb3e29.jpg (seems like some penetration options were for patrons only, so couldn't 100% replicate)
What this means is that those images uploaded could be easily reproduced by users themselves to almost be identical and actually even much higher quality, so they do count as screencaps.

Because these are models you created by yourself, on game you are creating by yourself and uploading images you created from those yourself, these are usually accepted to certain degree. However instead of seeing 1-2 posts being uploaded, I was starting to see over 10. I approved some earlier as I saw there wasn't many. Apparently you have even more on hold, if your FN gallery is to be believed, 37 of same horse model and scene.

And I know there are some inconsistancies on the site, especially because sometimes it's basically impossible to determine if someone did press print screen or actually render something poorly. Also in my personal opinion the quality standard for 3D artwork has been kept maybe too low in general.

this interactive video game scene! for all user to be able look at this how it is.
you hit print screen button, and i work on this image one year, for you can see it, and hit print screen

all links on top, this is screencap but you dont have source to hit print screen, but i shared my program for you thx

I think you missed my point there. Also I do have some hard time actually fully understanding what you are writing.

I know it takes actual time and effort to create the executable and assets, which is why most of the first uploads were accepted - so you could showcase your work. However even if you did spend lots of time on it, it doesn't change the fact that basically all users here can go and do similar images that you did, meaning this would flood the site with unnecessary content.

In most cases artists/developers do single video or couple screenshots and do them very rarely usually with larger updates (things like yiffalicious, vr ferals, r2ck, cathouse, etc.). Problem here was that there was simply so many almost identical screenshots from slightly differend angles and there was already loads of them. Even if they do differ slightly for original, patron and free builds, it's irrelevant at that point. In theory this could also go under "image sets" guideline as they were using the same base with slight variations and these are not allowed either.

I hope you understand that the main issues here are the sheer amount and easy way to recreate the same posts.

I was talking that 1-2 is fine, over 10 is not.

They weren't necessarily deleted for being screencaps. The reason given is a little vague.

Instead, it was more to do with the number of posts in general, where there are only slight variations between some.

https://e621.net/help/show/uploading_guidelines

  • Image sets where a single "base" is reused multiple times with only minor edits (and no story or natural progression) are not allowed
    • Small excerpts (up to 5 at a time) are okay, though.

Uploading 10+ variations of the same thing is generally disallowed. Stick to 5 or fewer.
