Topic: Can we split the urethral_* tags into male and female?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Pretty much, I'm suggesting a split because some people might want to see one and not the other, and by blacklisting penis or pussy they might miss posts like this:

That, and some lucky(?) furs have more than one peehole:

Is this a good idea, and can anyone think of better tags? I got male_urethral_insertion, female_urethral_penetration, etc. but they seem unruly.

We have six genders right now, so we'd need to split them into six to do it that way - unless you were trying to go with insertions into urethrae in one set of genitals or the other. And then you might be missing any ambiguous ones or nullified characters. But also, the same could be said of nipples or anuses or feet or whatever else. It would be nice to have the kind of granularity that would all provide, but it'd be a pretty huge tag explosion. Is there something more basic about the difference you could think of to focus on?

six? male, female...intersex (which isn't a sex aside from herms maybe)...what's the other 3?

"Isn't a sex". For tagging purposes, it is. Four intersex ('cause herms), male, female.

Or are you about to say we don't have 4 terms implying intersex?

We have male, female, herm, maleherm, dickgirl, cuntboy. Less surface area if the idea was to split it up just by the organ being penetrated vs the character it's on, but I figured the idea was about the bigger scope. Either way, it'd bring up the same type of question in my mind.

Rather have it by penis/pussy, not by gender.

Yeah, that's simpler for sure. But there're also things to consider in that way like nullified characters, some artists that decide to add urethral meatuses to cloacae, ambiguous genitals, pseudopenises, weird fantasy genitals... That's why I was wondering if OP had an idea for some more basic element that would differentiate them clearly.

OP here, I was indeed going for organs as opposed to the gender of the character (which is why I included the maleherm example).

You raise a good point - though I'm not sure how you could draw sounding ambiguously, "other" would have to be differentiated from the male and female genitalia, making 3, maybe 4 subcategories. If a mod could give us their opinion on this being overtagging, that'd be great.

I don't know if I'd personally say three or possibly four would be overtagging. It'd be nice to have them split up, regardless. I was back burner thinking since earlier what would be the main difference, and I kinda feel like it's only really the innie-outie aspect. So like if you have someone who draws an avian or scaly with a cloaca but gives them a urethra anyway, that's functionally no different from a pussy really, but unless the tag was a bit less specific it wouldn't quite fit. Same probably goes for flat-crotched males. And I'd figure it'd be reasonable enough to combine too for penises, pseudopenises, tentacle cocks... whatever other varieties are out there.
