Topic: Tag Implication: ahegao -> looking_pleasured

I wouldn't qualify this one as looking pleasured

Why?

Also, a major part of the tag involves a very specific, 'weird' facial expression of pleasure, which that post doesn't really have

All fit the description

Probably don't (some more/less than others)

Hm, should the implication be

ahegao -> fucked_silly instead?

If the tag is used correctly, then it should imply both looking_pleasured and fucked_silly, but that doesn't seem to be the case for some of the newer posts

Looking pleasured would involve more of a smile, in my opinion. Aheago sometimes does have that, but it's really just when the tongue starts lolling out on its own. Yes, that loll is caused by the immense overpowering pleasure, but it doesn't show as being pleasurable at all times.

Masturbation.

Ahegao specifically is used for images with the characters making a face between a moan, yawn and a sneeze.
Eyes rolled up (sometimes cross eyed), mouth open, tongue lolling out of mouth.
It would be closer to "fucked_silly" than looking pleasured. Originally it was listed as "o_face" then was changed to ahegao & fucked silly.
The more common usage is ahegao and or fucked silly. Pretty much every site that hosts drawn porn will use that tag.

..that sorta fits to your avatar

Pretty sure the o_face is just when the mouth makes a perfect circle, much different than aheago.

This is still out in the open, by the way

Oh that's right, nevermind about the fucked_silly thing

post #838398 I wouldn't qualify this one as looking pleasured, but it is Aheago.

Taking a second look, that seems more like regular 'looking pleasured' orgasm_face, rather than ahegao, since the mouth looks more like a sneeze, than anything

Kinda like what Esme was saying, with an obvious sexual context

I thought Ahegao meant being fucked to the point of being mentally broken?

That's what the creepy h-manga would want you think :p

Broadly, the 'ahe' in ahegao is a type of onomatopoeia, which denotes extreme pleasure, orgasm etc.
Not in the mindbreak sense, but the ahegao expression is common in those type of sub-fetishes.
(see the ahegao wiki)

Anyway, I'm thinking it's probably not going to be of much use (for me) to nitpick the definition,
if the average person tagging this doesn't know what the actual definition is supposed to be in the first place.

Which makes the tag rather useless for those that do know said definition, but they're likely to be in the minority on here

Since this expands to pretty much all the loanwords and such, I don't really know what to do about that, if anything

Sooo

Anything being done with this?

I was looking for a rating:s post to use as an example on the wiki, but most of these don't seem to be actual examples in the strict sense of the word

post #650440 seems closer to the 'awesome face' meme

post #434486 is a possible example sans upturned eyes

post #789469 is a good example in the smaller emoticon thing on the right, but it's hard to tell with black_sclera and a snout

post #643815 seems more surprised that anything else, but I suppose it could count

This was the post that led me to rebump this, BTW

If it comes down to it, we could move all the valid examples into a more specific tag, ahegao_(expression) or something

then alias ahegao -> looking_pleasured, or similar

-
But that still leaves the issue of people tagging it for non-cases
(either using it too broadly, or in completely inaccurate cases altogether)

Against. It's possible the expression can appear in non-pleasurable situations.

An example:
The expression might qualify as aheago, but looking pleasured? To me, indications show she's been abused and is clearly not happy about it.

Aheago → fucked_silly would be more appropriate as it doesn't necessarily imply she is enjoying it as looking_pleasured does.
