Topic: Tag Implication: urinal -> toilet

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

50/50 on this, on one hand you are basically correct, and on the other most, of not all, people will associate toilets with defecating and/or urinating, and argue the point of the urinal (just urinating) is not the same as a toilet.

Or in shorthand: you would be correct in that it is like a toilet, but it may be too far of one to imply toilet. A person may not say "a urinal is like a toilet" and may not want to find urinals when searching for toilets.

-1. While accurate, if I search for toilet I only want the porcelain throne.

So your personal preferences are more important than accuracy?

We have avoided fetish terms over accuracy, so does that really shock you? Remember, gore doesn't mean viscera and dismemberment, it just means shed blood.

As I've said, this accuracy wouldn't be exactly paramount for practicality.

-1. "Toilet" is a term that encompass urinal, toilet, squat toilet etc, thus this implication technically is accurate. However the term itself is also used to the most common type of toilet (that one in which people sit on ), consequently, use it as a umbrella tag wouldn't be practical, sice the majority of the users probably wouldn't realize we are using it that way.
