Topic: Bad Neverland - A sexy new Furry RPG!

Posted under Off Topic

Hey guys! Me and some furry friends have just build a brand new yiffy sex RPG, and we need people to test it and tell us what they think! The game is completely free and open to new content, so please go ahead and send us stuff to put in the game! (You can send us content via private message or by emailing us at [email protected] )

https://badneverland.wordpress.com/download-bad-neverland/

What we have so far:

  • Custom sexuality and fetish options
  • Numerous locations to visit
  • A large number of people having sex you can spy on.
  • A full on custom anthro sexual transformation system (Inspired by Nimin). Have sex with anthros to mutate your character! (In progress)
  • Set the anthros on the humans to yiff them! Watch as the humans turn into anthros!
  • Sex based yiffy combat
  • Interactive sexual escapades
  • About 25 dirty magazines to collect.
  • Locations with content that changes each time you visit.
  • At least two procedurally generated orgies that you start!
  • Customisable character description.
  • Use paws to dig tunnels in certain places.
  • Interactive sexual encounters with people who remember you and react to you. (partly implemented)
  • Friends, accomplices, companions, and slaves. (currently being rebuilt to work with the new system)

Future planed features include:

  • Regular updates with user-submitted content
  • A mad sex-themed quiz show in the Abandoned Fun Fair where the losers get dropped into an orgy (Currently Disabled - we just need to add more questions and finish the Win\loose events)
  • A fully interactive world.
  • Quests
  • Sound?
  • More Random encounters.
  • Potions and items with sexual effects.

Updated

Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Advertising it will make you worldwide!

Updated by anonymous

You know advertising in the forums in against the rules, right?

Anyway, I want to see where this goes..

Updated by anonymous

It's only against the rules if what they advertise is aimed to make money.
Seeing how this is free to play it isn't against the rules.

Lets just consider this a regular post.

Let's not.

It's clearly allowed advertising under the current rules.

Hey guys, thanks for reporting the bugs! This is a big reason we haven't taken out paid advertising for our Beta yet!

*boop* please answer by typing a number *wut?* Could have told me that i need to answer by typing a number when asking. (and i don't see why it was made like that)

Sorry about that! I thought it was obvious when I wrote that menu. I'll put a note in the game to make sure that people understand. Unfortunately we can't make the code that runs conversations recognise the command as typed at the moment because it is a universal menu system and that would create conflicts.

Age.. ... does not tell what it affects..

All these things are basically there so that the program can better describe your body when you are having sex. Age is partly implemented at the moment, but it will eventually affect stats and skills as well.

Again with the "boy"

I'm really sorry about that, it took me a couple of hours but that should be fixed now. You'll just need to download the game again. Unfortunately for this one you will need to start a new game.

It really forces you to read... in Coc a lot of times i just quickly go over the text, and pick a button.. now i got to search for words..

We are working on a hyperlink interface for the game, but it's difficult to get working Don't worry, or panic, just slow down and read each new bit of text as it comes, it will get easier once you get used to the way it describes things:

ROOM NAME
Discription

Objects and people (people are in bold)

Directions you can go.

replace clit with vag.

Oh crap, sorry! Our team is mostly gay, so whoops. :D I just swapped that in most main files, but it will take a while to purge every example of that word. Do you have any others we could use as well as 'vag'?

Pick shiny stone?...
Grab shiny stone?..
Take shiny stone?... no "i didint understand this sentence"

It should work with just 'take stone' or 'take all', but I have added code to support 'grab' and 'pick' as well

k, HOW DO I PLAY THIS! ... alright, went to -how to play- page... getting those options visible in game would be great.

0k, done, I've put those in the 'help' menu. Also, if you go south from the game beginning there is a tutorial.

Cant interupt husky and cat... *ima cry*

If you like, why don't you write something that could happen and we'll put it in the game? I'm afraid not everything is interactive in the game yet, but we are working hard to make it so. It's extremely difficult as we have to write a version for every sexuality.

"Uppy downy"

Whoops, thanks for spotting that, that was a bug. Uppy Downy has been moved to where it was supposed to be!

But atm, its broken

I'm sorry about the errors! If you can give me a list of them we will do our best to fix them! If you are having trouble navigating, talk to the scout in the camp fire area to get a map that will allow you to fast travel.

Most of the errors talked about above have now been fixed and the new version of the game uploaded! If anyone finds a new error, please let us know!

Updated by anonymous

You have to unlock them, but yeah. It's a bit hard to explain, but it's basically a multi-step sentence creating program that we are still adding to. We have a way more advanced version in the works that generates random contestants for the quiz show, but you can't see that yet because we haven't come up with enough sex-themed questions for it.

I can tell explain how it works if you want?

Updated by anonymous

i think accessing the map would be easier by typing map, instead of fast travel

Just added it as an option! Hopefully it should work...

looking at notice board "board covered in ntotices about camping" <-- obvious mistake.

Fixed. Do you have any suggestions? The notice board hasn't been used yet.

Looking at girls showers as bisexual female gets kinda stuck, instead of returning to standard typing mode, needs to press enter, which types out ">LOOK"... *shurg* odd.. Boys showers just type out the text.

I couldn't tell you what was doing that. Could you try a couple of times and see if it does it again?

Lust boys issue #19? sounds like a collectible... but typing blue tent, looking at it and so on. gives no

It is a collectable! All you have to do is type "look lust" or "take lust boys" or something like that. The tent itself is just a tent containing the magazine inside it.

cubs in the bushes

Whoops, fixed it!

cum nailed into ground <_<

Fixed!

... anyway.. da fak is a citra.. this game makes it sound like its an animal.. but i really ever heard of such thing ever.

They are something Adam Wan came up with. Their role is limited in the game because of copyright. They're like Fenic Foxes.

http://furpic.ru/uploads/posts/2014-04/thumbs/1396870822_kamacitra_27.jpg

have to lead them there.. nope, option 2! RUN FOR IT!

This is a really funny critique! Keep it up. :D But you don't actually have to go yourself, you just need to give directions.

Still in same location, got away... least satisfying rape ever.

Huh, they should have got you. Maybe you ran away when you were in the first menu?

Fox cock forest.. "There are foxes everywhere"
k, talk foxes... "you can't see any such thing" *rage*

Sorry, fixed!

.. it would be great if taking a shiny stone would give a response "you taken a shiny stone" instead of nothing.

That's weird. It is supposed to give a message. Check your inventory, their should be a counter. I think I've fixed it now.

"the doggy bites his own tail, taking 5 damage"
OU! uhm, im having a hard time imagining how it could happen in a combat situation.. but well, its just me :P

Well, if you have a better text for a crit miss, I'll put it in!

... won.. finally, pls nerf dogs.

The dogs are already pretty nerfed. Did you equip the walking stick? Type "equip" to ready it as your active weapon instead of just carrying it.

Suggestion: give history option to see where you last traveled.. just for easier access.. as scrolling is annoying. (so this option would exclude combat, giving only moves, and maybe talking with NPCs)

I'm not too sure what you are asking here. Would you like the game to print the location after combat or the previous location you were in? You can look around you by just pressing 'enter' if that helps.

error - no text for GoTO TownSquare

Whoops, sorry, fixed.

not responding... dunno, maybe its just gargoyle, which is not quite good at taking on this.

Ah, this might explain the error at the showers. WindowS Gulux is a much better program to use - you can find a link to it on the blog.

welp.. i could try to help on with user content.. but i have no clue on what kind of world is that, what is story behind that world and so on and so on.
Not to mention i am a coding disaster :p

Don't worry! You don't need any experience, just message me with some stuff you would like in the game. If you want to add a conversation or a victory text for an enemy, just write it as a series of options, or however you feel is easiest.

Updated by anonymous

Lust boys issue #19? sounds like a collectible... but typing blue tent, looking at it and so on. gives no

It is a collectable! All you have to do is type "look lust" or "take lust boys" or something like that. The tent itself is just a tent containing the magazine inside it.

>take lust

      • Run time problem P10: Since Blue tent is not allowed the property "health", it is against the rules to try to use it.

It works to pick it up, but something is fucky here.

A major problem

Scout Camp Fire

You find yourself in a Scout Camp Fire. There is a campfire here. To the West are lots of tents between the trees. East are the showers and toilets. North is a lake with people swimming and fishing. To the South the camp exits onto a Hiking Trail leading deep into the forest

You can see a Campfire, Notice Board and Jackie the Scout here.

Exits: south, east, north and west to Camp Tents.

Jackie wanders in behind you.

Run time problem P10: Since Blue tent is not allowed the property "health", it is against the rules to try to use it.

0k, that should really not be doing that. Nothing in the code calls the property 'health' for any static object. I am going to be in today, so I will spend some of it trying to resolve this issue.

I can tell explain how it works if you want?

Please?

0k, I forgot to do this, but there are two types of procedural generation in the game. The simple kind is a sentence generator that takes random actions and characters and assembles them into chunks of text. This way is kinda limited but easy to expand.

The other way is the way the quiz will use, which is the method used to create random player characters at the start of the game, only more complex. There are six blank people who have variables for hair length, clothing, and so on, and these are set randomly. The quiz then carries on referring to them by the same descriptions.

not being to see either your or the opponent's HP in combat, only once in a blue moon winning the initiative, winning your block is even rarer than the previous, and when you do get the initiative, not doing any damage (using carved dildo) makes for a very clunky combat system. Not to mention drinking numerous HP pots yet your HP not restoring a point above -3 also helps, along with a complete lack of any noteworthy buildings (with the exception of the girl getting layed by her brother) in town, not even a single shop also helps, despite the shiny stones and evidently a cash system. Hell, there isn't even anything you can fuck, and this isn't the only time this showed up in the thread, despite being an advertised feature.
Not to mention followers don't do shit and loading times inbetween places.

Didn't know it was a standard IF game (didn't test it). Have had similar issues with other IF games, sometimes it helps to fiddle with preferences or change interpreter, see e.g.: http://inform7.com/if/interpreters/

Updated by anonymous

The MStack error and most of the slow loading should be completely fixed now!! Took a while to track it down but I think it was an infinite loop in the follow script. I have also patched the tent health error, though I still can't work out why it does that.

>equip shorts.

Try 'wear shorts' Equip is only for weapons and armour. You didn't start naked though, you are already wearing a uniform.

>look...
HES GONE!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It's specifically coded not to do that, huh.

im amazed jackie does not mind that im a fox...

In the game there are wild anthros and domesticated ones, part of the upcoming story in the game is that the anthros have started to get really horny for the humans.

option 6) "goodbye", could be changed to "lets move out", given that jackie is now following you.

Done.

Oddly enough, with jackie following, game feels like it is responding slower..

It was, but now that's fixed.

error - no text for buddy-wait-jackie

Fixed.

It's doing that consistently. I don't know why, but I have added a temporary fix.

You'll have to turn shota on for that one ;)

any quick guides on to where to find stuff which is enabled/disabled in starting settings? atleast i cant find any ferals and tentacle monsters (or are they not in yet?)

Type 'options' to change those. The tentacle monster is in Wolf Woods.

billy is a boys name

And a girl's name. If you are female, Billy should show up as a boy, usually.

.. ehm, all cum puddles/ lakes are still nailed to ground.

I must have missed some, sorry.

TEEXTT!! finally more than 1-2 lines. good job to whoever wrote that.
... *reading* or not.

What was wrong with it? Any errors?

previous locations or history of movement i typed... as in many places i just pick a direction in which i go to, and after combat, i just end up going to the way from where i came.

Try saying "prior location" to show it, or "go back" to go there.

(please do keep some of these places for a witch/ghost rape scenario :D)

Working on Halloween Town for Weird World if you want to help! (You can't get to Weird World yet)

not being to see either your or the opponent's HP in combat,

Really sorry about that. We're working on a stat block. Until then, it's added in-line.

only once in a blue moon winning the initiative

I've added a couple of points to player initiative. That should fix it.

not doing any damage (using carved dildo) makes for a very clunky combat system

Not to mention drinking numerous HP pots yet your HP not restoring a point above -3

That should not be doing that. I can't replicate it, but I have boosted the health the potions give you.

It doesn't display damage unless you hit. Is that what's happening?

not even a single shop also helps, despite the shiny stones and evidently a cash system

There is a shop in the city, go north from the town and you should see it. I'll make it more obvious in the next version.

a complete lack of any noteworthy buildings (with the exception of the girl getting layed by her brother) in town

I guess you haven't found Bobby Buck or Simon Frost yet!

Hell, there isn't even anything you can fuck, and this isn't the only time this showed up in the thread, despite being an advertised feature.

There are a few things, but I did warn everyone this was a Beta game. We are working hard on this, but filling the world with interactive content is the hardest part.

If you have any suggestions at all, please tell me and one of us will put it in!

Not to mention followers don't do shit and loading times inbetween places.

At the moment followers are very beta. We are working on getting them involved in combat some how, but we are still arguing about how to handle multiple people in combat.

and loading times inbetween places.

That was the infinite MStack loop, which is now fixed in the current version. If you still have trouble, Windows Gulux may help the load times.

Try pressing the doorbell

If you ask me all actions (verbs) should be listed in help, while guessing might be harmless at first it can quickly cause frustration. I only figured it out after trying lots of verbs (somehow overlooking press).

Bug testing is a long and difficult process that is mostly about discovering things you didn't think to test or didn't notice. And sometimes code can create weird conflicts that don't show up in testing.

Combat is long and monotonous. Maybe a simplification is in order? Also when you "flee" from combat, if you don't immediately input a parser command to leave the area you re-engage the thing you just fled from. Ad infinitum.

And apparently the file doesn't like my copy of Gargoyle, or adding and moving with an NPC counterpart (Jackie) makes all text-parser scrolling take decades to generate.

Also personally don't like the blocking/dodging step, it just feels like something your character would be able to decide on it's own. Just like you don't have to say "put your right foot in front of the other".

Might be interesting to implement savewords, have had trouble restoring from savefiles before and it just hit again.

Combat is long and monotonous. Maybe a simplification is in order?

At the moment we are tweaking combat, but making it both challenging and short isn't easy. Have you any suggestions on what to do? We are still working on adding follower combat, it should be available soon. Some tips that might help:

Make sure you equip a proper weapon. If you are using your 'natural weapon' it will only do d3 damage.

Use the Concentration Buff at least once.

If you get to level 5 you can use special moves once per encounter.

if you don't immediately input a parser command to leave the area you re-engage the thing you just fled from. Ad infinitum

Oh damn, sorry, we forgot to add the line of code that actually makes you escape! I blame my boyfriend. :D Version 0.53 will have it.

And apparently the file doesn't like my copy of Gargoyle

Gargoyle is probably the worst stable interpreter to use, which might be why! You should be using Windows Gulux if you can. If you have a Mac, try the other interpreter as we do need someone to test it.

I've just drastically reduced the number of times that the game rolls initiative, that should speed things up. Version 0.53b is now online.

Updated by anonymous

I'm on mobile so I doubt I'll ever be able to play that, but I gotta say, you are a game dev that is actually worth something, in my honest opinion. You not only listen to these dudes, but you practically instantaneously fix every bug they mention. I applaud you.

Updated by anonymous

Oh, thank you very much! :D It helps that there's two of us doing it, I guess. If you have an iPhone you might be able to try it using Frotz, though you may find it difficult to play without a keyboard:

http://code.google.com/p/iphonefrotz/wiki/FrotzMain

Unfortunately, it's for an older compiler, so it may not work, but I guess it's worth a go. :P

Might be interesting to implement savewords, have had trouble restoring from savefiles before and it just hit again.

Did you change version between saving and restoring? I recently re-wrote all the code that runs gender, so that could be why. If not, then I'm afraid it might be doing it whenever one of us adds or changes something with a variable attached. If you could, try to keep a log of when it happens so I can work it out.

You are a completely naked boy with blond wavy.

Hmmm. That should not be stopping there...

Fights Won: 1

Experience 0/50 XP

That was the Tutorial monster you fought, I'm guessing? If not, that's a bug.

TUTORIAL END
>look self
...
You are armed with: nothing -- Damage Die:

      • Run-time problem P31: Attempt to use a property of the 'nothing' non-object: property dice number

0d0 -- Parry Bonus: 0

Fixed it! That bug was caused by the tutorial stealing your OP weapon.

Shiny Stone:
You scoop it up. Maybe it'll be worth something?
[** Programming error: tried to "move" Shiny Stone to nothing **]

I can't work out why that's happening to you at all. I have tried in two different interpreters and it works fine for me. It may just be the same bug as the tutorial. I'll upload the tutorial fix now in version 0.54b, if it doesn't help, try starting a new game and picking up a couple of stones.

Camp Tents

There are loads of tents here between the trees, from a few of them you hear noises. Everything seems peaceful at the moment.

You snag a girlscout cookie. Mmmm, chocolate chip.

That's wrong nothing was snagged until you take the cookie.

About the second, can enemies already be injured when encountered?
And any particular reason for a backslash \\` instead of forward slash /? I don't know if it's related but I saw a few what looked like regular enemies with thousands of health in an earlier version, but I just ran away from them. It is. I'm not sure what happened there as both the health and permanent health are 20

I don't know if it's related but I saw a few what looked like regular enemies with thousands of health in an earlier version

That really shouldn't have happened, there's nothing in the game with a health of more than 200.

with a story in development it's even more interesting to have the savewords, but it's maybe a bit of work to maintain.

What's a saveword, to be clear?

Yep, tutorial, so nothing wrong there if you ask me.

Yeah that's fine. The Tutorial monster is basically an automatic win by design, and you can replay it, so giving you experience every time is a bad idea. I may add a small bonus of some sort for players who do it once the game is finished.

Can't reproduce it at the moment, so hopefully fixed.

My hunch is that it was either an old incompatible save file, or the Tutorial bug did it somehow. Either way, should be no further problems.

Do you mean that the Jungle Girl is overpowered or that their health is acting oddly? I can't honestly see any obvious reason why it would boost health so high over permanent health.

Might have been a mystype. I'll fix it soon.

Just that it doesn't make sense, it says:

But you don't actually appear to get any cookies. But if you

>take cookie

You get a cookie in your inventory and the text no longer appears at the location.

BadNeverland said:

Ah, guess I should have explained, not sure if it really got any name that's just what I called it. It's basically a plain text string which describes game flags, inventory, stats, etc. in a way that you can use it in the game and enables you to move your session between interpreters and game versions if needed (as long as it's implemented properly). This however may make it easier to cheat, but I don't think the people interested in these kind of games actually want to cheat so don't think it's a problem. Either way you could simply encode it in some non-human readable way if that's a problem. E.g. a string like:

NAME|HP|MAXHP|TIME|XP|LEVEL|EQUIPPED_WEAP|EQUIPPED_TOP|EQUIPPED_BOTTOM|COUNT1:INVOBJ1,COUNT1:INVOBJ2...|...

And using it something like:

>saveword
John|20|100|8342|56|1|7|76|98|4:6,32:5,23:3,1:6
...
>load John|20|100|8342|56|1|7|76|98|4:6,32:5,23:3,1:6
Load successfull. (or was it?)

But hardly necessary, it's just a nice extra feature.

OK, that is defiantly the level-scaling system.

But you don't actually appear to get any cookies. But if you take ou get a cookie in your inventory and the text no longer appears at the location.

Oh yeah, I kinda forgot about that. It's kinda a bug that has been there since the Camp was made, but we left it in for flavor because we didn't think anyone would try to take a cookie they had already taken.

Ah, guess I should have explained, not sure if it really got any name that's just what I called it. It's basically a plain text string which describes game flags

Ah, I follow you, it's basically a level code. That's a very old technique for restoring games. Unfortunately it's just not possible with this kind of game because of the shear amount of work and runtime it would use, not to mention the compatibility problems. You are talking about a huge algorithm that would generate an entire save file as an encoded text-string that the user would then have to copy-paste back into the text box. I don't think the text-box could even take the amount of text needed, and the end result would basically be the same as when you hit 'save' anyway, only with more glitchs. Sorry. Its just not feasible. :P

Fixed it. The game was increasing the health of the characters by their permanent health every time they move around the map. I have no idea how that happened! Once Version BETA 0.55b is up it will auto reset them all once you move a few squares.

I appreciate the cub stuff, but why does everyone in the game have to turn into a preteen when I enable that option?

Speaking of inventory it might be interesting to implement some kind of list/table (preferably alphabetical and/or by sorted by type) instead of a wall of text (or have both and take a parameter), e.g.:

>inv list
1x cookie
3x discarded loincloth
5x ...

Always seemed to get lost as soon as I got to Turnabout*, I bet it's cursed.

Turnabout is just three rooms in a circle with exits that lead off of it. Once you get inside, the trick is to just look at the bottom line that says where the exits lead.

katana! katana! katana! katatattatatatatatatatana :D

We could add some kind of rubber dildo katana, I guess!

[** Programming error: tried to "move" Shiny stone to nothing **]

I'm afraid I still can't work out why that happens sometimes.

Speaking of inventory it might be interesting to implement some kind of list/table (preferably alphabetical and/or by sorted by type) instead of a wall of text (or have both and take a parameter)

We're trying hard to sort things out in there, but listing items by type is currently beta. I'll enable it in the next version, but you will need to report objects that don't show up in the list to help us out!

Happy humping ground: mating lions--- talk : cant see such thing; fuck: cant see such thing; eat: cant see such thing.

Anyone interested in big cats who wants to help us out? We're stuck for stuff to do at the lion camp.

I appreciate the cub stuff, but why does everyone in the game have to turn into a preteen when I enable that option?

I'd have to ask my boyfriend, he handles that side of things. The problem is that some people will like it 'all cub' and some won't and it is very hard to program it to please everyone. You could try typing "shota off" and then enabling it again later for now.

Oh, and why can't I fuck anything?

There are several encounters, but we need more suggestions for content as it is hard to make dozens of unique encounters. Why not suggest some stuff? There is already an encounter at Rumpled Rock that was submitted by someone here!

.. you know... why not by typing "save" and "load"

That's a precaution for when we get ranged weapons so that when you type 'load' it loads the weapon instead of reloading the game. I'm afraid we can't change it without screwing people over or ditching ranged weapons.

Too many times im walking to one direction and ending up where i began.

If you report where it happens we can fix it for you!

That is a brilliant way to implement the easter egg!

Unfortunately I don't think people will get it! I have set it up so that 'Jackie' can be spelt 'Jaaaackie' though.

I am trying to implement companions, but remember! Every feature you guys ask for takes time to implement! Some things, like giving items, are quite hard to do, but we have already coded some of what we have to. At the moment we are still figuring out how to get companions into combat without breaking the game. When they are available, we'll go through and enable stuff like giving weapons!

Until then, why not suggest some things you could do to Jackie with your big black snake. ;)

Red: im totally confused and the movement does not make any sense..
Ill look at turnabout again... but a circle? maybe? im confused

Ok, if you keep telling me where you get confused, I'll fix it.

But then, if they are so dangerous, why there is a city nearby? why people camp there?

The wolf woods are actually supposed to be quite deep, which is why it takes a while to get through them. The wolf tribe itself has moved in from the deeper woods and is camping right behind the old closed-down part of the funfair. They used to be much smaller, but someone has been giving them people. Them transferring their 'curse' is a new thing.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, shit...
the ranger is a bear.
fuck.
You cant write up a character when you have to assume everything about the world.

Not all the anthros are sex fiends! Also, we are making this up as we go along! ;)

Updated by anonymous

Ok, I am going to clean up the confusing exits, but I'm not changing routes that lead back on themselves in the maze unless a lot of people complain as the maze is supposed to be a challenge. If people don't like mazes I can remove them completely, but that would just mean a bit less gameplay.

Bent path - fox pad path

Could you tell me a bit more? I can't find any connections running south from Bent path -> fox pad path.

0k, I'm reading through the map, but it's hard for me to get a good idea of what people think is wrong with certain areas just from reading it. For example, a lot of the purple areas are notes on static descriptions that just say 'it's bad' without telling me exactly what is bad about them.

I am looking through the map, but really I need people to send me messages explaining what they feel is wrong. Having said that, we are aware that the two or three people you can talk to to have sex with in the game are incomplete. At the moment the best way to help fix these scenes is to suggest new stuff to do with these people. If you are wondering why they are set up like this, the reason is we want to make it so that you can come back a few times and have a different set of descriptions for each person. So, for example, you have sex the first time, then the second time they remember you and the sex scenes are different.

By the way, Puck the Pony moves around the maze and doesn't have a fixed location.

*Edit*

I've just noticed that one of the major complaints on the map is that the background descriptions are all short. The idea was that they were just little things you see as you are going along and that the main stuff would be interactive. If you come across one of these scenes, though, returning to the area or pressing return will often give you a new scene.

Changes for next edition:

High Hedge Maze is now Tall Hedges

The path East of Highhedge (a different room) is now fixed and leads to a new room called Leafy Romp.

Notes on the strap on - female characters can wear this to dominate in some encounters. Eventually we hope to open all male penetration scenes to female characters wearing strapons and are adding them in as we find them. Originally this was an all-gay game so the girls may still find encounters where they suddenly have a penis for a scene. ;)

Inny Outy's exits have been fixed, creating a grid. Unfortunately, making a map like this means that if your exits are logical, you have a grid.

Updated by anonymous

ehm.. farm house is not really a place for a mountain lion

Mountain lion? 0k, I'll fix that.

also spying = boring
..ehm rule:1 no fucking spying ever.

A lot of people really like the spying, but if you want to make a scene interactive, you just have to say what happens next. ;)

suggestion #1

That's a really nice suggestion! I'll start on the programming for it. Would you be willing to write dialogue and so on? I think the lions should come from the lion camp in the savannah so we don't end up with a new location.

That sounds really good! I like it. :) I hope I get to see that in the game. You can write any content as gay or straight if you want, that's fine by me! If you want to add any straight stuff as well we can put it in the straight version of the scene. We are really open to whatever content you want to send in. ^.^

Also thinking of working on a barn scene and maybe even a barnyard scene.

That would be really awesome if you could! At the moment we're working on plans to improve that entire area and expand the farm, as well as adding a national park and a beach. Our next update is coming, and it's going to be a pretty big one, with tons of new content!

Updated by anonymous

I'm trying not to let it bug me, but it's too ridiculous.

Every instance of straight sex I'm coming across has guys fucking girls "clits".

Clover Me(a)dow Path
You are on a pasture path heading North to a barn and forest and South to a maze. You spot a boy in nothing but a pair of cut down jeans wriggle his skinny body in through a farm house window and into the bed, slipping down his shorts to push his dick in his girlfriend's [clit]. Soon the bed is rocking and the smaller teen girl bites her pillow to keep from crying out.

You are on a pasture path heading North to a barn and forest and South to a maze. You see a freckly farm girl get chased into a barn by a teen collie who pushes her down on a hay bale and yanks off the girl's shorts so he can get his red doggy dick in her [clit].

You are on a pasture path heading North to a barn and forest and South to a maze. You hear a wet slapping squirting noise and a young "Oh! Oh!" coming from the long grass and see a skinny farm girl bent over with her dungarees round her ankles while a teen buck roughly fucks her smooth [clit].

And that's all just from one area.

It would help to know at least a little of the female anatomy when writing
sex scenes, orientation not withstanding.

Probably more of a bug than an oversight, those random sex scenery events seem to be procedurally generated OR SO I THINK and clit happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time instead of the 20 different synonyms for vagina.

Sorry about that! That area will be fixed, in the next version, which will be out in a couple of days! Sorry I can't upload it right now, but we are nearly done with a huge new quest involving the bunnies!

We did have reports of the clit mistake, but it was a mostly from just a couple of scripts in the word-replacer system that got muddled, so almost all of it gone now. Keep reporting where it crops up and one of us will fix it! That way the new version will be finally clear of it.

I'm a little concerned about the shortcuts you guys have been taking. How many people are working on this, by the way?

Updated by anonymous

I'm a little concerned about the shortcuts you guys have been taking.

Procedural text alteration is actually the long way around! It just happens to be the best way to tailor every sentence to your sexuality, chosen gender, and fetishes. Most text-games use it to some extent, and it requires a huge amount of work to get right because, as you have seen, one little thing out of place can cause huge problems. Luckily we are pretty organised about it, but you have to realise that the source code for Bad Neverland is compiled from about forty different files totalling hundreds of lines of code (plus about a novel's worth of different scenes), and a lot of that is little bits built around a specific scene or area, meaning that our central procedural files can't get them all.

How many people are working on this, by the way?

Right now I'm pretty much the main coder. My boyfriend tends to build the guts stuff like the timekeeping system and so on (he also coded at least half of the fight system), but he also adds a lot of the scenes, costumes, and fetish ideas. We also have a new major co-writer who is scripting some really nice stuff for the rabbits that you will see in the next version. All in all, I'd say we pretty much have a team of three (at the moment) with a few really good supporters who send in ideas and scenes.

If you would like to help, we are looking for more major contributors who would like to write areas, characters, scenes, quests, and so on. You don't need to be able to code as we'll take care of that!
