I also came by pics of now abandoned favorite characters Doral and Shandi.

So basically, I invite you to take a memory trip to the dusty places of your furry porn folder and see how your interests evolved (or didn't).

I haven't had a porn folder since I switched to e6 from fchan. Well I guess I had one for a while after, but I didn't bother to migrate it when I got a new computer. But from memory and my favorites here:

Orientation wise, I was interested in straight images first, then I added herm images to my interests, then I admitted I'm bisexual. These days I like just about everything, though dickgirls tend to leave me wishing they were herms. I used to really dislike equines, and then MLP porn came around. Between that and some rather good crossover fanfics, I got into the MLP fandom, which came along with an increased interest in ferals, and non-MLP anthro equines. I used to lean fairly heavily towards non-furry anthros (dragons and cetaceans in particular). I still like them, but it's not the same level of bias anymore.

As far as tastes in IRL porn go, it went from straight to furry. I've rarely looked back. I was stuck on dialup until less than a decade ago, so videos were always problematic, and with still images I found furry art hotter than RL images. Then I went off to college and got a good connection, but I was in a kind of obsessive phase with furry and would prefer furry art to anything. Eventually I got over that, but by then I'd found e621, and the search on RL porn sites (especially back then, but even now it's kind of shit compared to the tagging we have here) reminds me of the old old days of search, before Google.

My porn viewing habits have devolved over the past five years. I barely look at it now (unless I have to tag it), mostly because it doesn't really do anything for me anymore.

I also lurked a few years before creating an account, for the blacklist. I prefer a folder to organize my files, favs don't let you do that AFAIK.

i try to keep things sorted by artist at the very least. otherwise the general mess starts getting irritating when it's hard to find certain things. this is especially true when it comes to the "Flash and videos" folder as flash and other game stuff typically has no easily differentiated thumbnails to look through, while pics and gifs can easily be scrolled through till you find what your looking for.

behold, the SWF file thumbnail for those who use the UNH Solutions SWF Player to run SWF files offline. a simple program but it works as needed.

and that is why i have each of h0rs3's SWF videos each in a differently named folder (the name found at the source links). cause if i didn't it'd be a guessing game whenever i wanted to watch one.

My tastes have largely remained the same for a long time. They vary a bit in intensity and specifics, but most changes are temporary/cyclical rather than long-term.

Not only is my folder's organization dubious (my Digimon folder is in my Cow folder, for some reason), but none of my files names make sense, they're either e621's id or the weird system used by Ychan for my oldest pics. But the perk of having the same stash since years is that you know exactly what's were in the mess.

I'm uncomfortable about anybody finding my porn too (this is the only place where I'm PurpleScale, as well), but I found an obfuscation method (though I liked treos' one): my furry porn files are actually hidden in a random sub-folder in my RL porn folder. Pretty sure that was the first furry 'porn' I was exposed to, someone found it in school like 2006-ish. Never really looked up furries until maybe 2011.
Basically stuck with vanilla dragon-type-things the whole time and branched out into weirder areas occasionally. post #11082 is technically the oldest file I have saved, though it's only been on my drive a few years at most.

I think there's a line where this becomes relative, because "anthro" means that it has human stuff. A chimp has more human stuff than a dog, but a dog also has 4 limbs and the same organs as a human so where do you draw the line? I'd assume it's in the looks, so idk.

My not-real-life porn folder is 87GB across 81k files and 541 folders... pretty much all manually saved over 10 years now; I rarely download picdumps and errm, 'curating' is too 'fun.' I'm not organized at all, so it's really just a habit/archive, though it is fun to play pic roulette.

Well I started off in the furry fandom with anthro canines. didn't care for most other anthros and things like scalies and avians bewildered me. Was kinda put off by animal genitals too.
