Topic: Undo `from_behind` aliases, discuss disambiguation

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Currently,

from-behind

Although the wiki page warns users to not confuse from_behind with `rear_view`, it still happens with great frequency, leading to safe images tagged with sex for no apparent reason.

Evidently these aliases are not airtight and must be disambiguated instead.

+1 for disambig.

As non-native english speaker, if I were to tag something that has someones butt on front without looking wiki, I would most likely tag it with from_behind, which then goes trough that whole cycle insterting tons of incorrect tags.

The people using from_behind instead of rear_view are likely taggers from sites like Danbooru where from_behind is the tag used for rear view shots.

Some users are lazy and copy all the tags from those boorus when they upload from there. Even though our tag system is different. Those should always be reported when spotted.

Anyway, not sure about this idea of unaliasing them. The tag is too common, would likely end up like horny_(disambiguation): too much for anyone to sort out. Probably easier to keep it like it is, and clean up the occasional mistags.

With horny, I would almost argue that you can see from the image when character is, well, horny. Tagging that why they seem horny is slightly harder task as it can vary from presenting, to suggestive or silly face to something poking in underwear. Sometimes there's nothing that actually suggest that person in image is horny in any way.

But in here, "from behind" does not specify what is the thing that is from behind. Is it another character or viewer. Also like BlueDingo said it doesn't specify what is being done from behind either, is it doggystyle or spy trying to stab someone?

Pointing out that from_behind and from-behind were disambiguated a few days ago.

I'm not too sure about behind_position, so I left it as is (still aliases to from_behind_position). It'll be hard to gauge how frequently it's mistagged until all current posts tagged with from_behind_position are cleaned.

Some helpful searches to get us started:

It won't catch everything, so we may need to get creative.

UPDATE:

Today I learned `behind` aliases to butt. Any thoughts on this?

Wait, really? That alias wasn't a good idea. An user may see a post with one character hugging another from behind, then he/she/it might tag `hug` and behind (automatically adding `butt`).
