Topic: What would you do without the internet or a computer?

Depends on you actually. But did it work?

If you picture things exactly of what is in your head and you find it difficult to put it on paper, usually it's because your brain is not use to "retracing" the image again onto the paper. Takes time.
What will I do is to draw in the air as if the picture is in front of you, this technique is more like clearing or removing the "blurs" from the image so your brain can see it much more clearly.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll try that :)

If I didn't have internet or whatever I probably just watch TV considering the fact you didn't mention TV but if I didn't have TV either which I assume you're referring to what if there was no such thing as Comcast or AT&T preferably

I probably draw cuz it's one of the best things I like to do and I also like depending on where I live hopefully it's not too ghetto is to walk around go to the park get out get some exercise if possible one of the best things I like to do if nothing is in that category that I like is I just love to talk that's just how I am

Find an extinct volcano, set up a base inside it, take over the world.

without internet, utilize my "lost internet emergency porn stash" but without a computer, lament the loss of all my porn then I'd probably buy myself a cookie to cheer myself up and move on.

See, this is why you keep a porn stash.

what, didn't you read the first half of my sentence? specifically the utilize my lost internet emergency porn stash part. Although it's on a flash drive, I have very little porn that isn't on some sort of memory card.

Probably pick up a trick or two that my father'd do. A lot of Renn. faire stuff, just to show off: whittling, grinding common rocks into prettier rocks, maybe ceramics...

Not necro a 4-year-old thread, I'd imagine.

I often think about this, and fantasize that perhaps I would have ended up a more social person with more close relationships...but the reality is I probably wouldn't have changed anything...I would have just found substitutes. Unless someone somehow had the power to trim any and all solo activities from my life, I would pursue them down to the very last option. So if you took away the computer, I'd watch TV. Take away the TV, and I'd read. Take away books and I'd build model planes or some shit. Point is I doubt it would have changed my life much, I'm just a largely solitary person.

Considering my computer and Internet are the only things I have to entertain myself with, I'd probably go completely insane...

Or I'd just break out my backup machine and use it.

But you still need a computer to access it, don't ye?

I meant a physical porn stash. Magazines, photos, drawings, shit like that.

Go outside and enjoy the day. Probably lay under that tree in my yard, go out the that creek I use to hang out at when I was younger, Possibly bug my rl friends and generally see what's going on in the neighborhood =)

You know, Real Night in the woods types stuff ~ w ~)

sit around watching tv/movies and go through my collection of console games while being depressed at how i own no console game i have yet to beat.

i mean, it's not like theres all that much that makes me happy or excited to begin with so if i'm typically bored/meh WHILE having this laptop and internet access... well, insanity and/or madness from boredom might not be quite so boring. -_-

i've even lost interest in that 20 lb. dumbbell i still have. once it became effortless to lift and move it around... :/ that kinda lost the challenge as it got easier and well...motivation too i guess.

tv/movies: boring -_-

video games i've beaten multiple times over the years...no...

reading...do i want to sleep?

radio...ugh...why?

outside...i already don't like going outside so no.

give me back what tiny shred of...enjoyment? i still have in this world you monsters! >:( i'm not completely stoic yet and i'd like to hold off on that as long as i can. or at least until this world burns in nuclear flames and humanity makes me wish it had never existed in the first place! it's already progressing towards that end faster with each passing day.

this world...........ok, i don't want to keep thinking about this shitty world i live in right now. on to other things for now...or sleep. been up all night.

I changed my mind about what I'd do. Typewriters. Because I still have one the place I work at was going to get rid off and just gave me with a bunch of boxes of typewriter ribbons. I'd write a book and make a mint.

Uhm, I hate to break it to you but most writers don't make a lot of money.

I'd like to write a book, not bothered about making a lot of money, I have loads of ideas.
Unfortunately ideas are only part of the story.

Maybe, but considering what I currently make yearly, from my perspective, if it can be written with a comma, it's a lot.

Read books. That's what I used to do, anyway.
And play piano, and write stories.

Go to the homes of my enemies, steal their shoes and pepper their floors with D4s and lego bricks.

I actually experienced this to some degree because for two years I had this god-awful satellite internet from WildBlue. It was fairly slow with only 2mbps download, but worst thing about it is that it was capped...basically I could only use 3GB of internet before I was hit with a fee, and it was HORRIBLE. I used that shit up FAST. Anyone who tracks their mobile data knows how easy it is to waste 3 gigs on a phone, image the same limitation on a desktop. Awful.

So when I ran up against the cap I'd just watch a lot of TV, or actually do my homework. I also drew a lot more R34 as well...because simply looking up a few reference images of a character then using them to draw for an hour or so didn't use a lot of bandwidth. So in the end I'd say I was slightly more productive, but overall about the same.

Ever used dial-up before? Takes about 30 seconds to connect to it (while hearing this loudly throughout), get a charge every time you attempt to connect and it drops out if someone calls you. All that so you can surf the web at a blistering 56kbps.

I'm on 5GB right now. Staying under it is not that hard.

Breaking and entering just to spite your adversaries, nice.....Wait a second, is this going to turn into a discussion about why the internet a good thing?

Fun times. I sometimes listen https://www.dialupsound.com/, just for nostalgia. Not that there was much of a web back then. Mostly just BBS and Usenet.

...did I already answer the OP? Not sure. I'd probably spend a lot more time at libraries and book stores. Still have over 2000 books in my apartment that I never got around to reading, used to hoard those until internet came along.

Yes I have used dial-up...but web pages were also much more simplistic back then because they expected you to be running around at that slow-ass speed. On the modern web (or even the web 4 years ago when I had this internet) 2mbps is pretty terrible. I have 20mbps now and I feel like that is rather slow.

That sucks. I hope you get better internet soon...

those who consider a two megabyte download speed to be slow will not survive the surprisingly acceptable speed of 300kbps.

Agreed. Thou has not felt pain until thine PC runs throughout the night with such rates.

No but tbh I'd just quit all this shitpostimg and being a furry that hates all the other furries and loving dank memes and all the other fun but pointless shit I do and invest in things that'll get me a lot of money, then become a great artist and inventor, trumping all before by getting human evolution a boost. Something useful to humanity like that. Also I'd at least start to run my own business, help the economy, and with no distracting internet, I'd be starting out the old fashioned way, with actual work and determination to sell things people will buy.

Know that everyone's imagination is unique in some way.
