That sounds like an amicable solution.

If there was a tag for pornographic images in general, you wouldn't need to split the cub tag. It would also make finding non-porn of other things easier as well.

"young rating:s" would find underage humans/humanoids as well. "cub rating:s" would exclude most of those.

But then users who want young content in general would have to search multiple tags together to get the one thing they're after. "~young ~cub_(genre) ~shota ~loli" instead of just "young".

Just to make it clear, 'cub' is an term used for young individuals of various mammal species (mostly directed to carnivores). If I am not wrong, in the furry fandom it was merely expanded to include other animal species (but not Homo sapiens).

You have to tag it as cub if it meets the requisites: a character that looks like an animal of any sort, and is young. It is neither for SFW nor NSFW only, it is just for young animals (which includes anthro and not-real species).

What they blacklist is of their own regard, they probably know enough to choose to avoid all cub, or use -rating:safe in their line for cub...

Dumb logic/possible bait aside, no, there isn't. The tags here aren't meant to be that specific. So you either stomach a pantyshot and/or questionable pose/attire here and there, or just block it out altogether.

personally i blacklist "young -rating:s" because that's all i want to see. i think the rating system does a good enough job of filtering out sexual images, while keeping the "tasteful" ones at a minimum.

i don't think anyone who blacklists the "young" tag is going to find OP's top image offensive or sexual, as i don't think it's trying to be sexually provocative.

It's odd to me that pedophilia is aliased to young and not, say, age_difference, which seems closer in meaning. Though I guess aliasing it to young is more likely to assist with blacklisting.

If I recall correctly the pedophilia tag was mainly used in a derogatory way on any sort of cub image, so we went with the simple and consistent solution: alias it to the one constant to be productive.
