You might wanna check for aliasing images first.

That's usually done manually in pixel art. Jagged edges are frowned upon.

I've seen a few characters named Pixel, so that's something to consider.

Yeah. I checked the Wiki page for that. It is like In between "normal" art and pixel art. They have just enough pixel density to not be considered pixel art. This is literally just about things tagged pixel.

That is easily fixed by the character:[character's name] prefix. Which they have done. They have also added _(character) though not completely necessary.

Pixel is also the name of the artist who made cave story. Any related art from within the actual game would be under their name too wouldn't it?

Some users have and will think aliased art style as pixel art.

Also character:pixel will just change pixel tag into character tag meaning they are the same tag, but now they show under character tag. What this means it can be possible for someone to accidently tag pixel named character as pixel.

Of course then there's pixelated censoring and insane compression which makes image/animation look blocky, e.g. pixelated, where mosaic_censorship and compression_artifacts should be used instead.

Even though highly unlikely, there's also change for post to happen which literally has pixel:

I would say -1 for original, +1 for disambiguation.

Two things. One... Well, Mario69 already pointed out. Dandy. Saves me the trouble. Two... The problem isn't that we can't differentiate them with the correct tags, but that users attempting to tag those characters may end up mistagging as a result of this alias.

A disambiguation is probably better in this case.

I'd rather disambiguate it.

Deleted original suggestion,

Pending `pixel` -> `pixel_(disambiguation)`
(Link)

Gonna sit on it for a bit, to see what we can come up with for the disambiguation page.

Wildcard search here

It is the artwork, can be a name for particular instances, might refer to specific imagery (like pixilated screens in a normal image), the probably not tagged dead pixel, you got any other suggestions?
