redundant tags + suggesting we change to simpler tags that are easier to type

There's only 5 instances of microphilia and it hasn't been tagged in years. You could've changed it yourself and no one would've noticed.

ah you can do it yourself? i was under the impression only the higher ups could do that hence why you request them ahaha.... my bad.

edit: ah you meant editing the tags themselves.... yeah i should do that. even so, having it as an alias ensures ppl posting any future micro content wont tag it as that and instead it will be tagged "micro"

If it's a common tag, no. If it's almost never used and there's a more appropriate tag available, yes. Alias requests are usually for when both tags are fairly common but only one is needed.
