actually what would probably be better is:

Link to implication]As elephantidae pretty much Only consists of mammoths and elephants, I feel making a new family tag implied for them is a bit redundant, and just "elephant" implied would be more fitting.They aren't as huge and diverse as, say, the canid family, which includes things such as domestic dogs, wild dogs, wolves, foxes... and many more. I feel this vast amount of variety warrants the family tag, whereas imho mammoths implying elephants works and would be less repetitive.
