Implicating webcam → camera
Link to implication

Reason:

A webcam is a type of camera.

Also imply camwhoring to webcam because camwhoring is the act of whoring on a webcam.

imply camwhoring to exhibitionism because it's a form of exhibitionism.

imply camera_view to camera because it's the view from the camera.

imply chat_box to chat because a chat box is a box that contains a chat.

imply website to internet because websites are sites on the web (aka internet)

imply livestream to streaming because livestreaming is streaming content live.

alias camwhore to camwhoring because a camwhore is an individual who is camwhoring

alias online to internet because they are synonymous.

Firstly, we need to create a 'webcam_view' tag specifically for images with webcam viewpoint and reserve 'webcam' to be used only when the device is shown (much like how 'camera' and 'camera_view' work).

Implications:

+1. Only, and if only, webcams and webcam views be properly sorted.

Megashockman

Implications:

-1. It should be implicated to the referred 'webcam_view' tag (supposing it will be created).

Megashockman

Implications:

-1. 'camera' should only be used when the object itself is shown (as stated in its wiki).

Megashockman

Implications:

-1. Just alias them instead.

+1 for the first suggestion.

-1 for camwhoring to webcam, as the webcam may be left implied.

+1 for camwhoring to exhibitionism if it's the way you say it is. It lacks a wiki page though, so it's hard for me to say.

For the same reason, also -1 to camera_view. Especially since you can't see a camera if you're looking through it.

+1 for chat_box to chat, although I think an alias might be in order instead. They don't take substantially different forms imo.

+1 for implying website to internet the way it currently stands. However, I get a feeling those tags may be somewhat poorly defined. People may want to tag website for images of a browser even if it's not showing any content that's actually online. Similarly, people may take internet as a joke tag, or as an overly broad tag encompassing things that originate from the internet but don't have any direct link to the medium. Internet is not something you can touch or see very easily.

Not sure about implying livestream to streaming. I think it should be an alias instead. Of course, there are things like streaming music but I don't think streaming is used that way as a tag, nor are other kinds of streaming a thing that really occurs in art. It may also be untenable to distinguish when music is being streamed vs. being played in an image, and I think the same is true for other types of streaming not commonly understood to be a livestream.

+1 for camwhore to camwhoring

Not sure for online to internet. It's probably a good alias. There are small differences, but one has to be online to see the internet, and being online is generally understood as having a connection to the internet. I'm concerned about edge cases like using messengers and such though, as those aren't generally considered internet, but most do require an internet connection to function. I'm fine with using internet for those, but I feel like it needs to be discussed either way.

The wiki actually says the opposite.

If the image is from the point of view of a camera, also tag camera_view

EDIT: Not that it necessarily should be that way, or that that's how it's being tagged in practice... Maybe we should replace "also tag" with "use instead" on the wiki?

Oops, I read "instead".

For sure, this would make way more sense. An object and a kind of viewpoint are two completely different things.

May I change it or you prefer to do so?
