Kabedon is the Japanese term for that thing where one character puts their hand on the wall to trap another character.

Leaning is too broad. Against_wall isn't quite right (and kabedon isn't necessarily against a wall, anyway.

Any ideas?

This would probably go better in the do we have a tag for that thread

In any case if it's a very specific and iconic pose, it could perhaps do with its own tag

Alright, well, I'm gonna make a kabedon tag for now. If a tag already exists under a different name, we'll just move the posts over.

Otherwise, if anyone can think of a more descriptive name than "kabedon," I'm open to suggestions.

I don't think there's a specific English phrase for that.

backed_against_wall is close, but that only describes a situation where someone would keep backing up to create separation from them and an aggressor or intimidating presence but has run out of space to back up into. That says nothing about the hand on the wall, the very close proximity of the dominant character, that the dominating presence is even alive, or the emotional content. Also, because of those points, I see kabedon as always implicating domination.

In a literary sense, cornered [something] and pinned [something] would satisfy description, but E621's literal, rigid tagging logic pigeonholes them to other meanings.
