Reason: According to Wikipedia:

An android is a robot[1] or synthetic organism[2][3][4] designed to look and act like a human, especially one with a body having a flesh-like resemblance.

Fail at set sub-set relationships.

And android is a robot, but not all robots are androids, therefor they should remain separate.
Should be an implication though.

Reminds me of Data. From Star Trek.
Who kept insisting that he's an android, not a robot.
And R2-D2 is usually classified as droid.

I think the National Robotics guideline is a good one: "A robot can, but does not necessarily have to be in the form of a human, but an android is always in the form of a humanoid."
