Topic: [Bug/Fixed] dolphin mobile browser cannot long press thumbnails to open new tabs

Dolphin mobile browser for android can no longer long-press to select open in background, new tab, etc. Only save image (thumbnail). Began on 08/04/2016. Tried clearing cache, reinstall, old and new version. Other browsers work fine, function in dolphin works fine elsewhere.

What part: search browsing thumbnails

What is the expected behavior: normally small menu appears, open in background, open in new tab, save link, share link, copy link text.

What actual behavior is given instead: save image, but its just the tiny thumbnail that is saved.

Time of incident (if applicable). 08/04/2016

Can you reproduce the bug every time? Yes.

What steps did you take to replicate this bug? Search anything, press and hold thumbnail.

Same issue. The device in question is a Toshiba Thrive 10.1 with Android 4.2.2. Works fine with the stock browser.

Use Puffin for flashes

I don't think that was what he was asking about, but on the topic, I just installed the last released version for Android and Firefox Beta for flashes.

Personally, I don't use Dolphin. My only experiences with Dolphin have been bad, and I prefer my Firefox Aurora. Perhaps try Boat Browser for Android? Worked for me on my HTC Desire 510 w/ Android 4.4.2

Same thing happening for me, but on Puffin browser on iOS. Doesn't do this for any other websites.

Any help on this matter? I love dolphin with jetpack and don't want to switch to another browser for just this site.

Like I had mentioned above, switching browsers may be your only option. I was not able to replicate the problem with my HTC Desire 510 on Android 4.4.2. It may be a matter of updating your phone to the latest version of Android in Settings > About Phone > Software Update. Try contacting the developers of Dolphin Browser at "[email protected]" and see if any other users may be experiencing this issue with any other websites. If so, then it's almost guaranteed to be patched in the next update.

Well, I bumped into exact same issue while I was using firefox mobile. I had to use other browser to get url I wanted to go and copy it to firefox.

However can't reproduce the issue, neither can with Dolphin. Was and still running Android 6.0.1.

And like Nikolai said, at that point I either go to software manufacturer or just say "fuck it" and switch browser to any of hundreds available for android. Unless someone can pinpoint the issue and say that it's the sites fault and not browsers.

If you have 3D touch capable iDevice, I would double check that has that completely replaced long press.

Please try this again on e926.net I believe this has likely been fixed as part of other work related to click detection.

I'm happy to report this bug is fixed as of today. Thank you!

I've been having this exact problem in the last week or so, but here's the plot; I'm using an Android Galaxy Tab 10.1 with Android 3.2 on Android Browser 4. This device and browser have oddly been compatible with this site for the last five or so years. Firefox still allows opening in a new tab, but it's rather clunky on this device. Any help would be appreciated.
