Topic: is obsolete source/artist information better than no information?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

post #275079 is tagged unknown_artist with no source. SauceNAO has a match with Pixiv ID 10368693, 催眠をかけた by member もちですよ! but Pixiv says "deleted or ID does not exist" for both user and post. Other reverse image searches gave nothing but reposts. archive.org says that user ID was already deleted/nonexistent when they scraped it (three times in 2011). I don't have a Pixiv account so I'm not entirely certain that that doesn't just mean it's hidden to the public or something. I couldn't find anything obviously related to the same artist either (although I didn't try very hard since "もちですよ!" is a common simple phrase).

So my question is whether there's any point in adding the information from SauceNAO to post #275079, since it seems kind of useless, but maybe it's better than nothing. Maybe.

Yes. Something is better than nothing. Maybe later a different post will be labeled with that artist tag, and users will be able to go from one to the other!

Yes, like leomole said, any kind of information to go by is always better than absolutely nothing. I have couple times inserted deleted pixiv url as source to post as if someone does bump into that pixiv submission, all they need to do is google and the post here should show up.

Also to keep in mind that there's possibility that SauceNAO might be unavailable or even completely offline at some point, which would make that now seemingly useless information much more useful.
