Actually daemon is a completely different creature; It is a spirit that helps and advise the living, I don't know why the tag was aliased like that.

Probably because demons also do that. Buer) is a good example, my personal favorite.
Of course, the real reason is much more mundane. I don't fully know what it mean, are they referring to Unicode?

not sure about the details myself but you are right in that demons and daemons are 2 different varieties of creatures.

Daemon is also a computer thing. That can't be why they're aliased, though.
