-1. We probably shouldn't start aliasing alternative names of species if they either aren't in use, or hasn't another reasons justifying it (such as linguistic-geographical barriers, making it easier to type etc.).
One reason for that is the large amount of names that many species have. Taking pufferfish as an example: it also has names like 'globefish' and 'balloonfish'.

Edit: I just though on a thing: should we create a 'cyprinid'_empty class for acting as an umbrella tag for carps, goldenfidhes, danionins etc.
