Topic: How to get close to the Guardian Tiger in Nekojishi?

Posted under Off Topic

I really want to get close to him but I'm not sure how, and I can't find anything that suggests how I'm going to. If someone could help, that'd be great ^^;

Didn't realise which version I was downloading so I downloaded the wrong one. Whoops...

Any chance you would reconsider deleting those Nekojishi sex scene rips?

The first bullet point on the list and the first example of that bullet point. I'm not going to go againts very first thing mentioned under bad things to upload in uploading guideline.

If you really want them, pretty sure you can just google those images, decompile all the assets easily yourself or just, I dunno, play the game? Or if you don't want to play and just the porn without knowledge how to decompile, there's also save files online and skip button.

As of writing this, limited edition is free to download with optional 10 USD/65 RMB payment, Steam/Standard version is completely free with 99.9% of the story intact.

And what if the image is pulled straight outa game files? It's not a screenshot then.
Otherwise, there's plenty of more stuff to delete.

Screencaps are umbrella term which are used to describe everything from gif made from movies into visual novel rips.

If you took a second and clicked the link I linked above, the point does state:

  • Screen captures: Screenshots from games, still images from movies, video snippets from youtube, etc. etc

Especially visual novels can have tens if not hundreds of variations of single image and most of the time screencap is almost indistinguishable from actual ripped file, so they are all handled exactly the same way regardless of how they have been produced from the game.

I have been retroactively deleting visual novel rips, because of course we cannot sometimes tell if image is from one of the thousands of tentacle hentai games out there, but just because something not acceptable manages to get trough, doesn't mean that it's suddenly acceptable.

There's literally teens of thousands of "screencaps and etc, etc..." then.
And why is this not deleted post #1363502, it's straight from YouTube.
Also, going by that logic, shouldn't every poster be deleted as well, because they are indistinguishable from screencaps.

Why is this not deleted then post #1363502, it's straight to from YouTube.

Videos from youtube are fine, at that point they are just videos which could've been from any site. File conversions are also fine, but snippets or screencaps from videos are not. So if e.g. there's 5 minute video where you take screenshot or gif from couple seconds that's not acceptable.

Screencaps are allowed in specific cases, e.g. when game creator does video of their updated game. This way it's still possible for them to show their creation, but avoid spam of everyone posting slight variations of what they have done in the game. But generally speaking if you have gotten the material you upload from pressing print screen or using screen capture software or decompilers, the upload is most likely getting the boot.

And again, remember grandfathering, there has been changes in rules over years, so if you find 10 years ago posted screencap of someones desktop then that was allowed then, not now.

EDIT: also that post #1363502 still needs replacing, it's youtubes MP4 converted to WebM instead of youtubes own native WebM, resulting huuuuge filesize bloat and quality loss.

So a video or flash with those screencaps would be perfectly fine then.

...no?
The video or flash would need to be either original content or released by the artist who made the content in the screencaps. Videos from Second life or Skyrim are also deleted under screencaps under current guidelines.

I must add that the limited version is also free.

Free with optional payment, supports paypal.
I would highly suggest anyone enjoying the game consider supporting it, because sometimes these things will never get officially translated.

So much bull, so little sense.
There's 0 consistency.
How about writing that wiki properly instead of "etc, etc"

I have expanded the uploading guidelines with the following:

  • Screen captures:
    • This also includes all ripped image files from visual novels and similar games.

"Images" is probably a generic catch-all for anything that could be hosted here.

A very bad one.

Rules/guidelines shouldn't leave room to be interpreted in whichever way whoever likes.
