Topic: Clean up the vore tags

Vore is a mess. There's snuff tagged as soft vore. The current tag definitions aren't very concrete. What exactly is looney-toons vore like? Here's what I'd like the tags to be, in a perfect world:

  • Hard_vore: in which the prey is maimed or killed. This includes digestion and implied digestion (stomach_noises).
  • Soft_vore: in which the prey suffers no physical harm.
  • Vore: covers all of the above and in cases without enough context to be classified.

There are some people that think digestion belongs in soft vore. Personally, I don't see the difference between being decapitated by teeth and being melted alive by stomach acid. If you still want hard vore to be gore, then just search "hard_vore ~blood ~gore". Debate me.

Vore is an umbrella tag, not a tag for ambiguous 'uncertain' cases, and it also includes non-oral vore. The common usage of hard vs soft is to distinguish between swallowing styles- entire and alive or dead and ripped to pieces. I'll agree though the tag definition for soft vore in particular is vague and needs to be refined.

There might not be any difference to YOU when the gore/death happens, but for people who like it, there's a huge difference. Chewing/ripping/tearing and digestion occur at different points in the 'story' and play different roles. People have very distinct and often strong preferences for what style of swallowing they prefer.

We don't need multiple threads on the exact same topic, especially if the first one isn't even a week old.
