Implicating knotting → knot
Link to implication

Reason: can't knot someone without a knot

While I understand where you are coming from, I'm gonna disagree with this one. -1.

This is mainly because there can be media involving knotting that doesn't directly show the knot at all but it's implied because of their positioning, etc.

This is why, for example, the tag vaginal does not imply pussy; not all vaginal posts are gonna have the pussy visible but vaginal related content can still be implied or known in context even without showing the genitalia itself. And, since we follow TWYS standards, we mostly prioritize what we immediately see and not what is known.

you can show a chracater being knotted without showing a knot. you cannot tag knot on images where you cannot see the knot

Knot is not always visible, so no.

If no knot is visible, then it shouldn't be tagged as "knotting" in the first place, imo.

+1 to OP.

If a character is canine and ass to ass and obviously penetrated, aka being knotted but not showing any visible knitting, does it not being visible in this context mean it's somehow not knotted?

characters being obviously physically stuck on each other because of knot

and bulging around penetrated opening

are both clear and valid visual signs of knotting without the actual knot being visible.

here are a few more examples of knotting with no knot visible, just to show not all knotting will show a knot:

I don't think those are great examples, especially the middle one. Honestly, even knowing there's supposed to be knotting going on there I don't see any indication of it. The other two are pretty subtle, the first only has dialogue to hint at what's going on and the second maybe has a slight bulge.

Fair enough, I should have gone for more blatant examples, I more or less picked them randomly

The first one I feel is pretty blatant tho, being heavily hinted via dialogue

Edit: to make up for that, here's some better, randomly picked examples. I feel the last three of these are probably the best examples I've seen of knotting with no knot visible, with the last and second to last one providing not only visual context but also verbal
