Another option in settings, similar to blacklist.
If a tag is placed into the warnings text box, posts with said tag would still be in the list, but with a "Warning" picture on top of it.
Hovering over would display warning tags separated from the normal tags, and the user may click if they so choose.

• Like blacklist, it would be disableable in a "Toggle Warnings".

Why would it be useful?

• It would be a good balance between no blacklist and blacklist.
• Users will be able to put disliked pictures into the list of posts without seeing its thumbnail, so they know it exists.

What parts of the site pages are affected?
search, profile pictures

you can toggle a blaclist in results. you can even toggle specific tags in the results without removing it

Yes, but as I stated before, you get the thumbnail right there. It would be nice to have a layer of protection that's not too harsh.

I know this concept as a spoiler list, but I don't think it'd be that useful here considering e621 lets you see how much your blacklist has affected and unfilter that thing if you want. It's more useful when a blacklist just silently removes those things completely, and you need a spoiler/warning list to have a middle ground of things you might want to know exist but not see by surprise. Though, I would like the temporarily unfiltered blacklist images to be distinguished on the page somehow, so I can see where the new entries appeared.

I would keep the regular blacklist for people that only want posts to be silently removed, but have warnings/spoilers as an extra option for people that want to know if they're missing anything.

That would be the specific tag that let's you temporarily turn off exactly one line on your blacklist. So you already know exactly what it is.
