Topic: Separating parent/child posts

Posted under General

Took a look through the help section and I'm wondering if it's possible to search for posts that is a parent/child post from non-parent/child posts?

Wait... If post is parent/child of another post, then that another post is parent/child of first mentioned post. So what it was you were asking again?

Also there are some metatags you can use to search posts based on parent/child, including parent post ID, so you can look up e.g. if post in question have had any child posts combined with status:any

Great, thanks.

To specify if I can, I'd like to search for posts that have the parent / child attribute (and delete them as necessary) as opposed to searching through 700+ posts.

Why do you feel the need to break those relations up? They are usually only made for good reason.

Beyond that it's possible as outlined in the help page Mario69 linked.

You should make sure to wait until they're at least 8 weeks old, so that the childs are properly socialized. Otherwise, they might develop unpleasant attributes like biting or scratching or even drawing blood if they start playing too hard.
