As the title says I'm curious why there isn't a photographing tag being used. I know I've seen many posts that involve pictures being taken (usually as a form of humiliation, but that's besides the point)

I was just curious if there was some other tag for this or if it is something that should be used.

We have the photograph tag (which is aliased to photo) if that helps. And with the addition of "real", might have something you may look for

No, I think the OP was talking about a tag for taking photos. In the similar way as the drawing tag is used for images where someone is drawing something.

I don't think we have a tag for it. There's filming for videos, and selfie for taking self-photos, but... no common tag for photography in general. Though there's a couple of images already tagged as photography, so maybe we could start using that tag for it..

There's photographer for when there's someone in the image who's taking pictures. I think that's the best we've got. It's usually the one I use for that sort of thing.
