Topic: Searching "Gardevoir Female -breasts -vagina" is just confusing.

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Given, many of them are simply missing one of the latter two tags, but there are -a lot- of posts of blatantly ambiguous_gender worthy posts that people seem to consistently tag as female, simply because Gardevoir looks feminine?

Is this standard, now, or am I right to assume these should be tagged ambiguous like I am doing right now?

You don't need to see genitalia to tag the gender. (If that were necessary, then pretty much everything in rating:safe would be 'ambiguous'.)

If the character appears feminine and there's no mixed signs, tag it as female.

Except, the whole idea of Gardevoir being feminine is.. something of a falsehood.

At any rate, it makes "tag what you see" kidna hard.

If a character looks feminine and there are no conflicting details otherwise, tag them as female. Lore doesn't matter, appearance does. This is per post, not per character.

But even male gardevoir look feminine by human standards. Even with a blatant penis, one could just tag it as dickgirl and it'd be valid by the "tag what you see" rule?

Unknown body

No?
Their body resembles one of female
4.B.iv) Unknown genitals - Breasts + Female body = Female
Even if they are canonically male or could be either one, it's still tagged as female if their body looks like females.

Except the body doesn't resemble a female's? A male body is generally defined in figure by having shoulders wider than their hips, and a female's vice-versa. Hips are concealed, and Gardevoir is basically a stick figure beyond that.

All the images provided would fall under such. What is your reference point on what a female body is if there are no breasts?

That's not how most art of Gardevoir is drawn. Most artists follow basic human anatomy and apply that to these characters. As such they're also tagged based on that, not actual lore. If a Gardevoir does look ambiguous it's going to get tagged as such. Not having visible genitalia is not the only criteria being used.
